MMA prides itself on having fewer brain injuries than boxing. I've read that before. Which is good. I'm not "pro brain injuries." It's just funny that they wrote an article proclaiming he got a concussion. No ****. Really? Wlad and Joshua were both concussed in their fight when they were floored in the fifth and sixth respectively. And the fight continued. That's all I'm saying. It happens all the time in boxing when someone gets staggered and floored.
I think that's BS when you see how seriously ktfo'd some of these guys are. They get pretty punchy if they're in it too long.
Isn't the point though, that people including Conor, were saying he wasn't hurt, they were saying he was just fatigued... when that clearly wasn't the case. He looked like Bambi on ice out there! Could have been a very, very dangerous situation out there. Thank goodness for the quick wits of the ref, otherwise Conor could have been leaving Las Vegas in a coffin.
And the guys who are KTFO ARE concussed. I've said that. But there are a lot more ways to win by stoppage in an MMA fight (than there are in boxing) that don't require a concussive blow to the head.
I think the guy has asthma. I did for many years without knowing it and was the only one gassed out during most of the Kung Fu Training sessions. Everyone else seemed OK or quickly recovered.
OR he just would've gotten knocked out. Which happens about 10 thousand more times than someone leaving the ring "permanently." I'm just saying most high profile fights don't end that quickly. That's all. The ref bailed him out.
I'd take out Pacquiao as he's in-actice and done, but agree with the rest of the names. One thing on Mayweather, he likes his fight in Vegas where he has lots of shall we say some pull on how things work.
I thought that Conor would have difficulty laying a glove on him. Only a spaz thinks that Conor was somehow mystically 'selected' to beat Floyd Conor did amazingly well considering he's 0-0 and has poor technique.
