On tonight. No good matchups, but lots of potential future stars smashing cans, including Buatsi, Okolie, Cordoba, Cheesemonger, etc.
So far: Ted Cheeseman won by DQ in the 2nd. His opponent, Francisco Rezzi, did not even throw one punch. Instead, he went for the referee , shoving him a couple of times and getting angry. So he got DQ'ed.
Loves a sparring rumour does eddie! Impressive stuff by cordina though. Ran a train on the poor lad speight.
This card looks better than the last nxtgen on paper, but that doesnt take much considering how awful the last one was. But other than the jake ball fight they could all concievably be blowouts.
I wished I lived in the U.K. just to be around the boxing scene alone. Plus I had a blast years back when I visited London & Galloway Ireland for 2 weeks (the 2 weeks leading up to Saint Paddy's day .)
Cordina was boring as hell on the Brook-Spence card. I don't care what he's doing in sparring tbh. The match-making is so bad on this card that I'm not even watching it and I'm staying in this friday night. Why Hearn is putting Olympians and WSB boxers in fights against total mugs is beyond me. People have to pay £40 and £60 for the cheapest tickets to attend this terrible card too. Watching Eastenders instead right now.
Remember had his nose broken by that Polish cash-in-hand construction worker. Amir Khan-tier KTFO waiting to happen. Saw his interview on IFL the other day and he was claiming to be a seasoned street fighter "undefeated on the roads"... Nah mate, you were by your own account a chubby McDonalds burger flipper before starting amateur boxing. Now get me my large fries and double cheeseburger to go.
It's mind blowing to see Boxing and or boxers staring in/having endorsment deals in major network TV commercials. None of that over here, besides that old PBC cheesefest and Pacquiao had a pistachio commercial that ran for awhile a few years back. Other than that it's only Michael Phelps, or Baseball, NFL or NBA players with endorsement deals and commericals in the US.
