I don't think we should determine the winner based on the number of knockdowns if a WBK fight ends in a draw. Cmon, that's just unrealistic. It's not like a draw will be hard to implement within the ELO. There's no reason why we can't have draws in the WBK, especially if that's how the fights get scored under the WBK rules. Knockdowns will just seem like cop-outs. @nellybc @KiwiMan
The ELO system handles draws already, so there's no problem there at all. In fact, it's possible to have a drawn match with equal # of KDs so that was always a possibility. I personally do not mind which way this goes, although I have a slight preference for just keeping them draws as Pinoy says. Otherwise we get into the grey territory of "should KD-tiebreak wins be weighted less?" and the math gets complex. It's not like draws happen that often anyway. A potential compromise could be to use number of KDs as a tiebreak for championship matches only, still scored as a draw within ELO but the competitor scoring more KDs walks off with the title. I still prefer "champion keeps title" as in the real world, but as I mentioned before, I do not feel strongly on this issue and will happily go along with whatever @nellybc decides. Over to you @nellybc - thanks
Oh great!! I'll decide!! Cheers!! I'm happy to go with draws if that's the play. Draws are draws!! Good stuff!! @PinoyProdigy @KiwiMan
I really appreciate all your input for the WBK!! This is going to be great when it's rolling. There are some great fights throughout the rest of the year! Let the battles commence! Thank you!!
I would have added Death Wish but its from the 70's, maybe I'll do 70's list tonight. I forgot all about TLAV, going back over my lists, I could add another 200 films probably. The 80's were amazing.
Big Trouble in Little China, The Dark Crystal, Matewan, Ran, Willow, Krull, Superman II, and Local Hero were all 80's films that I enjoyed watching at the time.
