All those mugs fleeced for £20 to watch an Exhibition farce at the weekend is a new low for Sky Sports.

The first one had a few good fights on not all 1 sided, the journey man is a tried and tested route of prospects learning the game. Olympians who have done 5x3 in WSB etc should be moved slightly more quickly I'd agree

 

Yeah, Lawrence Okolie and Joshua Buatsi are both 24, and have boxed at the Olympics, in the WSB, and in other high-quality tournaments. On that basis they are both probably European level right now, and will gain nothing from uber-cautious matchmaking and fighting a succession of cans.

Since the pair of them are more developed technically than, say, Daniel Dubois (promoted by Frank Warren, but the point still stands), surely there is cause for (Mis)Matchroom to match them tougher in the early stages of their pro careers and advance them up the rankings quicker than a Daniel Dubois or a Conor Benn?

 

I don't like them. Joke fights like that guy Josh Kelly peppered with a million left hooks last time.

Have Isaac Chamberlain vs Lawrence Okolie as the main event and maybe I will be hyped for a NXTGen show.

you people seem to think its only matchroom that match their prospects against journeymen, what about frank warren matching Dubois with a light heavyweight the other week?

Dubois has had the worst matchmaking I've ever seen given to a prospect in 25 years of following the sport.

Two of his fights have been vs LHW's, the guy the other night weighed in at 199lbs lmao

Someone is going to get seriously hurt if they keep feeding these cans to Dubois
