    Cotto is a definite
    Floyd just retired
    Cleverley just retired
    Wladimir has retired
Haye will retire (he'll have one more big fight and that's it)
Bellew will retire (no way is he facing the CW elite)
    Manny will retire

    Damn, that's some list.

You forgot quite a few names:

    Retired:
    JM Marquez
    Bradley
    Uchiyama
    Miura
    Guerrero

    Might retire:

    Ward
    Kovalev
    Yamanaka

rakan and Brixton Bomber like this.

    Yep, forgot about those!

Ward is in a tough spot, IMHO. Nobody of note is coming up from SMW and Adonis won't fight a live body. Not to mention that Ward is too small to make any noise up at CW.

I'd love to see Kovalev/Stevenson. They've got a legit grudge with one another, and those fights always make for special nights.

Why would Ward retire when at the top of his game?

Amir Khan won't retire officially but wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't fight again but just carries on in his delusional world until finally calling it quits in a couple of years.

Also Stiverne should retire to the buffet where he's happiest.

If Haye boxes Bellew in the re-match for December he will viciously KO Bellew and there will be no other choice for Tony but to retire. He won't have any other option at HW (apart from the unlikely scenario of a trilogy with Haye) and dropping down to CW will see him destroyed and he will lose his "legacy".

If Brook comes back in November as scheduled and hurts his eye again or loses he will certainly retire. This is unlikely though, he won't be put in a tough fight for his debut at 154 I imagine.

Cotto is the only big name certainty IMO.

Potentials IMO: Braehmer, Murray, Huck, Rosado, Price, Abraham, Coyle

Ward can retire because he just can't get that big money he wants. His fights are tough grueling matches that typically go 12 rounds. LHW is stacked.
Will he be facing these big strong men for $2 million per fight?

He isn't a draw let's face it. His second fight with Krusher did like 2 million gate with 130k PPV.

Imagine him fighting a Beterbiev or a Bivol. Would the gate even crack a million? These are high risk tough fights for little money.

Ward will likely seek out a Bellew type fight. Or, if GGG beats Canelo, he can hope to fight GGG at some weight. That fight would sell well.

The possibility of Kahn becoming gradually more delusional as he suffers further series of KOs is very real indeed.

Stiverne does physically resemble more a connoisseur in the culinary arts or a chef in a fast food restaurant than he does a boxer but not as much as does the Mexican HW Ruiz. Probably routinely consumes his own weight in tacos and enchiladas each month.

Yes, actually I think we might end up seeing old Ward vs old GGG if GGG beats Canelo and the Bellew fight doesn't happen. Ward is likely to sign a new HBO deal and no doubt they will want a big fight.

You could only punch people in the pubic zone so many times, eventually it becomes tiring especially as you age.
