You really display a special kind of stupidity and ignorance. We are not talking about weight classes, it was about how much Diaz weighed when he fought Conor as you are comparing his win to Floyd's win. When the physical dimensions of the two couldn't be more different. One weighed in at 180lbs standing over 6 feet tall and another who weighed only 149lbs at 5'8 and decided to make an event of the fight by carrying Conor, while Diaz had his face disfigured. Those are the facts. And stop lying child and have some dignity. You got destroyed in every single debate, just look at back other threads with our discussions and all you had to offer was lies and subjective statements which I had to correct for you and then you pretended that you didn't make those points. I'm not wasting anymore time getting in a long debate with such a disingenuous poster who lies through his teeth, then claims victory. It's beyond pathetic.
Don't waste time man with these UFC fanboys or their joke sport. UFC/MMA got destroyed last weekend by a superior product, boxing. The superiority of boxing was already clear from what an ancient Ray Mercer did to one of their HW champs, but last week eliminated ALL doubt! The Sweet Science is the premier combat sport, the best sport ever conceived. UFC sucks, it's boring, it's garbage - and REAL boxing fans know it.
all i see is a excuse?? all i said was a fact.. so somehow conor being 10lbs bigger than floyd and one inch taller is a bigger deal than conor being a 0-0 boxer? LMAO fail. fact is floyd took 10 rounds in his own sport, diaz took two in conors own sport. floyd himself said the weight wouldn't be a factor so try again bud. atleast 10 times you be shut out, this is no different, all you did was bring up a excuse, seems to be what you're best at.
lucas browne 25-0 hw boxing champ, kod in one round in mma by a man who was 6 inches shorter, 30lbs lighter, and at a 7 inch reach disadvantage.. try again.
A few examples mean nothing when comparing. like I said you're on a hiding on to nothing. You can post a dozen more links to crimes perpetrated by boxers it still won't match the numbers in TTIA. When we discuss things we have to look at the facts and not go off subjective opinions. All you have to do is look at the statistics and studies, it puts everything you have just posted to bed. Effectively you have just wasted your time putting in all your heart and soul in fighting a battle you can't win. The study found that out of 10,000 MMA fighters looked at, 750 were found to have domestic violence marks against them as compared to 210 in the NFL and 360 in the general American male population. http://www.sherdog.com/news/articles/Opinion-Real-Sports-Hard-Truths-and-Fuzzy-Numbers-89541#Gi7MpfKqeX8VTISP.99 Now do you really expect me to dig up and post up to 750 brutes who have either battered and raped their wives, held their victims at gunpoint, abused babies, murdered and sadistically mutilated people? The bottom line is there is sheer unrivaled thuggery in TTIA. These are the facts, not a few links to some isolated cases in boxing which you would expect to have more due to how long the sport has been going on compared to TTIA. Then you have the steroid problem, which is an epidemic in the dog fighting world. Face it, TTIA is for the devolved and is niche entertainment for the sick and sadistic minded. I won't even call it a sport with all things considered.
You seriously need to look up the definition of a fact. All you have done is post moronic opinions that no one other than low IQ TTIA fanboys will agree with. You believing that Diaz who went life and death with Conor was a better win than Floyd's shut out - who also stopped him on his feet with his fists), just shows how biased you are. You don't consider the fighters weight, age, length of rounds(which are longer in MMA) or the game plans of each fighter when making the comparison. Everything is just boiled down to black and white, simplistic caveman mindset when looking at things. In reality you have no perspective, no idea how to use correct grammar, no idea of the meaning of the little words you attempt to use, and no idea about boxing or your own barbaric sport which you cheer lead for.
oh so floyd taking 10 rounds and nate diaz taking two isnt a fact? it clearly is moron, all you did was respond with an excuse as too why floyd took 10 rounds in his own sport.. thats literally exactly what happened, i posted fact, you posted excuse. try again.
Jesus wept. Your whole point has been that Diaz's win was more impressive than Floyd's win while attempting to play it off as if it was a fact. This, without taking into account other crucial factors, which show that Floyd clearly made lighter work of Conor, notwithstanding being 4 inches shorter, with a far larger age gap and being retired. You only have to look at Floyd's face and Diaz's face after their victories to see who had an easier time. This is basic stuff which you can't seem to grasp because you are blinded by TTIA fanaticism You have no recourse. You are just making yourself sound more and more special with each post. Just stop, for your own good.
Your proof? http://www.sherdog.com/news/articles/Opinion-Real-Sports-Hard-Truths-and-Fuzzy-Numbers-89541#Gi7MpfKqeX8VTISP.99 Now do you really expect me to dig up and post up to 750 brutes
1) Your article also said this "Instead, my face flinched because as soon as I saw the data, I knew the murky methodology would unintentionally overshadow the vital discussion that the segment had just amplified.[...] This content is protected Does that mean fighters who were in the “top 200” any time in the last 12 years or just at this moment in time? Whose “top 200” is this? Could it even be something other than FightMatrix?" 2) There's no evidence of any comparison with the domestic violence stats for boxers. For all you know they are worse. Fixed it for ya. Yes, I changed your quote. Take a read here: "Confirmation bias, also called confirmatory bias or myside bias,[Note 1] is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one's preexisting beliefs or hypotheses.[1] It is a type of cognitive bias and a systematic error of inductive reasoning. People display this bias when they gather or remember information selectively, or when they interpret it in a biased way. The effect is stronger for emotionally charged issues and for deeply entrenched beliefs." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias I suspect that it may apply.
The article was covered on Sherdog, so of course they are going to cite the study as being unfair and attempt to make excuses. Remember this is from a ''sport'', where it's fans are more than ready to bring up Floyd's domestic violence offence, while pretending their ''sport'' is whiter than white when clearly it is worse. When the news channels have to make a documentary on the issue around the ''sport'', then something is very wrong. Whether boxing figures/statistics are worse is irrelevant. Boxing has been around for centuries. The fact that TTIA is now up there, high on the charts for domestic violence even though it's been around for only 14 years, just goes to show the kind of people most of it's participants are. No morals, no honor and no concept civility.
how is floyds win more impressive? you cant have it both ways, you cant say 'floyds win is more impressive' and then discredit conors boxing ability, thats flawed logic. conor is a debut boxer, floyd was 49-0 i think most people expected floyd too win. diaz went in vs conor on two weeks notice, from him drinking in cabo and took less than 10 mins to finish conor, floyd took 10 rounds in his own sport against a debut boxer, you dont even know what you're talking about, i never stated one was more impressive than the other i stated a fact, but if you ask me which is more impressive diaz's win was much more impressive given the circumstances.. try again.
Dude, you're waaaaaayyyy too much invested in this. I refuse to believe that doing Judo AND another martial art is gonna suddenly turn me evil And I just don't have the energy to chase down statistics for domestic abuse amongst boxers. It would be absolutely no surprise for me to find that people choosing a violent sport MIGHT be violent in other areas too, though That's as true for MMA as it is for boxing.
Not necessarily, considering most of the top elite athletes today, in boxing can usually control and conduct themselves in a proper manner outside the ring. We've dozens of role models not just from the past, but in this era. You have fighters such as GGG, Anthony Joshua(barring his past before boxing helped him to become a better man), Lomachenko, Canelo, Pacquiao, The klitschko brothers, Danny Jacobs, Timothy Bradley, Cotto etc etc I've said it before and I'll say it again; Boxing turns thugs into gentlemen while TTIA turns thugs into harder thugs.
Nate Diaz looked like **** in round 1 of the Conor fight. He was getting pinata'd. He won in round 2 by a rear naked choke but it was competitive.
