I would imagine his fan base would crumble quickly. Due to his age as well as it would be late to stage a comeback. 160 has no star power. 154 has no star power. He can move up to 168 and maybe fight Groves in the U.K. If he loses, i see him retiring soon.
I agree. ggg's fanbase will just move on to the next one in the pipleline like the "fanbases" for Postol and Kovalev.
Why would you compare Postol and Kovalev? Kovalev still has a fanbase. Postol was a hype job, like Wilder, Kovalev was the real deal.
If GGG loses an 8-4 type decision to little Canelo Alvarez then it means his 35yrs have gotten the best of him. Old, washed up fighters don't carry fanbases. He'd have to retire. None of the 168 title holders are giving an old GGG a shot at their titles.
Depends what his next move is... I can see ggg getting more fights after that... Since he will be beatable and maybe some young lions would want a solid name on their resume
