Aldo is a guy whom if he had dedicated himself to boxing from a young age he couldve been and elite level champion fighter. Dude is quick, strong and has natural power which mikey even mentioned. Rumble Johnson and Aldo are two guys who couldve been elite boxers.
Very very very very very light sparring session, one of the lightest I've ever seen. I'm not saying it's bad, I'm saying that you cant make any conclusion from it. Still, that aldo seems (I repeat, 'seems') to have decent fundamentals, way better than mcgregor, he has still a lot to improve, a lot, but at least he didnt make me cringe. I would need to watch to a little bit harder sparring session to get any meaningful conclusion, though.
Hatton ate shot after shot prior to being KO'd with help of the turnbuckle. Also went down like he'd been sniped from the crowd from the first punch thrown in anger.
Matt Embree just recently lost, but he has serious boxing skills, probably the best non boxer Imo who would have alot of success in boxing. Great technique and bodypunching. Would love to see him fight McGregor.
aldo was one of my favorites in MMA. I agree he's way past it now, but if he had boxed from a young age he could have been a contender. Natural hand speed and punching power.
