GGG hasn't looked great in his last two fights. Kell Brook was standing in the pocket giving it to him. GGG was saved by his jab against Jacobs and his left hook was non-existent. I think Canelo's size and combinations are going to give GGG problems. And I'm not convinced GGG can get him out of there. And I do not believe GGG can win a decision against Oscars' 'Golden Boy. Canelo already lost a decision to Floyd--there's no way he's going to lose a decision to GGG regardless of what happens and how many rounds GGG wins. In order to win, he has to knock him out.
Golovkin will knock El Pollo out, he knows that's the only was he can win the fight. If Golovkin were to knock El Pollo down in every round, Oscar's judges would still give the decision to El Pollo, the referee will help protect El Pollo as well as the boxing commission. El Pollo will be allowed to hit to the testicles, break all the rules, won't be surprised if Tony Weeks is the referee.
Yes you are right Golovkin has to knock him out to win and that is exactly what is going to happen, this fight will not be competitive past the 2nd round. Everybody going on about Golovkin declining. Im just not convinced. The Brook fight was just a fight, Golovkin got stick for it the second he was signed to fight a Welterweigt, he had to take it as a side fight and he made it as entertaining as he could. The Jacobs fight was a real tough fight for him. Jacobs was massive and had every single physical advantage over Golovkin, more than any of his previous opponants as far as i can remember and with serious power too. He had no choice but to respect Jacobs power along with the big difference in reach. Canelo doesnt have any of that. Canelo is the percect size for Golovkin.
Oscar's judges have already filled out their cards and everyone knows it. The public is getting wise to corrupt boxing. Boxing is destroying itself due to greed by the promoters..............
I don't necessarily think GGG will get hosed. I'm sure Oscar wants a trilogy and is willing to let his boy take an L in the process. It's not like Canelo is clinging to a perfect record.
If Oscar wanted a trilogy he wouldn't have delayed the fight a year and a half. A rematch can happen only if Canelo loses in 3 weeks. There's no rematch clause if GGG loses
I just don't see GGG knocking him out. I think he'll have issues with Canelo's ability to stand in the pocket and throw fast combinations.
Canelo will take some shots, but will be able to absorb them and fire back with precise counters. We don't know what Canelos power will be like at 160 but from the look of things he's going to be packing some heavy artillery That s for sure.
Canelo was up on two scorecards when he KO'd Khan, and tied on the third. Of course GGG knows he needs a KO to win. Abel has said as much.
Not sure about confidence. If he was confident he would have accepted 8 mil @ 155, or 10 mil @ 160, but he held out until he got a whopping 15 million, risking the fight not getting made. GGG is getting the biggest Payday of his life, no where else will he het paid 15 mil+, not even remotely close.
