Swap Bruno and Bugner around and which has the most success?
Bruno coming up in the 70 s facing Cooper, dunn, Ali, Frazier, shavers?
Bugner facing spoon, Tyson, Lewis mccall etc.
Yes they did actually meet, so we'd have a old Bruno facing a younger Bugner!? Confusing..

Bugner and Bruno can physically match up with almost any other boxer and neither lacked skills. At their best they're a tough fight for anybody. Their weakness is they seemed to lack confidence in themselves and in Bruno's case, he might have some stamina issues or the stamina issues might be tied to his confidence issue?

Bugner and Bruno are the type who might pull a big upset if everything comes together or they might lose to someone they shouldn't if everything doesn't.

Hmmm tough question.Bugner was a more durable and more fluid but Bruno had real one punch power and a ramrod jab he would of flattened.most of the fighters joe fought on the way up including Cooper and that chicken farmer bloke whos name escapes me but I doubt he lasts the distance with Ali or Frazier .whilst I think Joe would probably out point smith and probably lose on points to spoon and Tyson in negative performances I think he would go the distance with Lewis in another rather dull contest but probably outbox mc Call .In an old young swap fight I think Joe would win on points after being hurt a few times .

Could you imagine Bruno taking the shot Holmes took of Shavers?! LOL! Bugner`s chin was far better than Bruno`s, Ali would have toyed with Frank, Bugner might have lasted longer than 5 rounds against Tyson in '89 because of his chin and Rooney was no longer in Mike`s corner. One thing though didn`t Bugner fight Shavers later in his career or was that a re-match?

Don't know if Bruno could take the shot Shavers hit Holmes with, but doubt that Shavers could take what Bruno would throw at him. It might be one of those fights where the one that landed first would win. I also don't think Ali or anybody else could have "toyed" with Frank Bruno. Bruno was dangerous, 6-3, 235 pounds, and a decent boxer. He wasn't the best, but he wasn't an easy fight. Ali didn't toy with Chuvalo or Mildenberger, Bruno was much more dangerous.

Bugner did fight Shavers in 1982, Shavers knocked Bugner down in round one and stopped him on a cut in round two. I've never seen the fight, just going by BR.

Bruno didn`t hit harder than Foreman and he never threw a shot crisper than the hook that caught Ali in the final round of the Frazier 1 fight! Chuvalo was tougher than Bruno and better at applying pressure, Mildenberger was a cagey southpaw and I wasn`t even talking about the super fast Ali that fought those 2, I was talking about the heavier slower Ali that beat Bugner are you mad?
