@UnleashtheFURY I went back and watched the beginning of the second round, at 6:35 its CLEARLY a head clash that caused the cut, you see Tony wince in pain and grab at his face after it happened. So at least the TD part wasn't corrupt. Carson was clearly targeting the eye, Margarito was blinking a lot in the 7th, since the cut was definitively caused by a headclash, and after the 7th Margarito was complaining he couldn't see out of his eye, and he CLEARLY HAS EYE ISSUES, as in he probably should have never been cleared to return to the ring, he probably wasn't lying, so the fight was stopped, and since it was caused by a head clash and Carson targeted the eye injury from the headclash repeatedly, and it got worse forcing an accidental injury stoppage, so the TD was kind of legit. Does that make you feel any better? This content is protected
We all know if you were backing Jones you wouldn't be playing so much devils advocate and would be crying foul... This is corruption on a grand scale and literally almost everyone is point it out except for you... Even Mexican fans on Twitter.
Nah it's still moot. The cut was only brought into play because Margarito was fading badly and on the verge of being stopped. It also wasn't even that bad... It's comical that you're trying so hard to argue this dude. Seriously, this was complete corruption. The scores were also way too wide. Everything about this fight was pure corruption. Sorry that you "can't see it" and are downplaying it because of your loyalty to Margarito as well as the pick you made for the league.
Put the shoe on the other foot, somehow I think you wouldn't give a **** if you'd picked Margarito and you'd see exactly what I'm talking about, there was no corruption, it was a cut caused by a headclash, the tape was coming loose, the round the clock went off early is the round with the two tape issues, easily the time keepers clock and the TV clock could have gone out of sync, the stoppage was due to Margarito not being able to defend himself because he couldn't see out of his injured eye, are you really going to make the argument that his eye was in great shape? So the ref stopped it, maybe a little conveniently, and the scorecards were a little lopsided, that's the only corrupt things that may have occurred, and I don't really think a clear injury forced stoppage going to the scorecards that might be a little too wide is that ****ing bad.
I'm just saying the last line to throw people off our scent that I alerted them to initially and cause even more confusion and doubt.
Like when I freaked out about Solis being robbed by McDonnell? Nah. I wouldn't... Kind of funny of a lot of people are seeing this but not you? Check Twitter, of course plenty of people who picked Margarito here thought that was pure BS as well. BS point deduction, round conveniently ending 20+ seconds early, ref constantly stepping in when Jones was doing good work and then of course the bogus ending! No corruption? What a laugh! The vast majority of the internet boxing community is in agreement here, this isn't just some butthurt bickering from a group of unsatisfied fanboys.
Yeah I'm sure they had it all scripted out beforehand right? Including Carson Jones accidentally headbutting Margarito in the ****ing eye. I don't give a **** what the herd thinks, have I ever? Don't throw mindless twitter lemmings in my face and expect me to buckle. Those same lemmings were also in hysterics when Manny was "robbed" and when Roman was "robbed" I went back and watched the questionable moments and rounds with a clear head, looking to see if I can find some common ground with you, and I saw exactly what I'm writing here, its all easily explained away, if you stop being a conspiracy theorist and actually watch it with a clear perspective. Yeah, no ****, at the moment it seemed fishy, and I glibly and jokingly swept it under the carpet, but now I don't think I have to, because if you watch it back, you'll see what I saw. a guy get injured from a headclash, Jones lunging in with his head recklessly, his tape coming loose several times, and Margarito having issues seeing out of his eye in the 6th and 7th.
One other thing, like I said in the RBR, had Jones taken it easy and tried to box instead of rough house, flail and violently target the eye like a dirtbag, maybe he could have racked up enough points, but no, he forced a stoppage after banging on the eye his head injured, it was a little too soon, and he didn't have enough points yet, oh well.
Remember this the next time you're bellyaching about a nonexistent issue(decision, reffing, stoppage)... Which is quite frequent. Nothing about this is conspiratorial, and like I already said earlier... You'd likely be with the herd here if it was of benefit, are you really going to try to deny otherwise? Seriously man... You've pitched fits about incidents far less controversial(which coincidentally went again your picks on here or loyalties as a fan)
He did according to several posters in the RBR as well as the networks scorer. Jones is paid to show up and fight Margarito... Not the ref, judges and commission. How can you say something as absurd as "He just have just boxed" when he was having great success and on the verge of securing the stoppage?
I bellyache for a few minutes very loudly, then get over it, guess what, get over it. Let me get this straight I'm awesome when I'm the only liberal on planet Earth that goes against 99.9% of the Democratic Party grain in regards to Trump. The Twitterverse has been abuzz about that for oh the last 10 months, I haven't buckled yet. But I'm waaaaay outta line going against the grain here. So selective. Go back and watch it.
Go back and watch what exactly? There's nothing to see... The fight is still fresh in my mind and I've had a good 6 hours to sleep on it. This was pure corruption and nothing more. Sorry that you can't bring yourself to see it.
Watch the headclash at 6:35, watch the round with the tape issues and watch the final round, Margarito is defenseless, he can't see very well out of his injured eye to block punches, you'll see that it was just a series of unfortunate events, as opposed to some nefarious plot by some Mexican boxing cartel.
Margarito was good to fight... Cut wasn't that bad, he actually had his best moments AFTER the cut(head clash or not) before fading and then opting for the easy way out. This was corruption personified man.... Point shouldn't have been deducted, a round was stopped with 20+ seconds to go, Margarito was getting the **** beaten out of him and then was spent, decided to retire in his corner and thus an earlier and insignificant injury was milked to give him the win. This was fishy to say the least. Simple as that.
