    just saw the article from boxing sceen,

    badou jack was quoted in saying "I think Adonis Stevenson (is the fight i want next) let's get it on. I'll go to Canada. I'll go anywhere".

    he further commented by saying "unless you want a trilogy with andrej fonfara, let's get it on!"

    Adonis will be 40 by the time this fight comes off. Jack will be 34.

    That's one of the reasons I'd pick Jack if this goes past 5-6 rounds.

    Really hope this fight happens. I'd favour Jack by workrate and punch variety, but Adonis has the ko equaliser.

    Credit to Jack. He really will fight anyone. Alvarez on the other hand knows he has no chance against Adonis, which is why he won't enforce his mandatory status. I don't blame him, since collecting step aside money and fighting guys like Pascal and Chilemba is much better than being destroyed by Adonis.

    Yes, as long as Alvarez doesn't lose, stays active, and he and Adonis (or new champ) can continue to agree on terms Alvarez can keep collecting step aside money with his mandatory status without affecting his ranking.

    It's a beautiful set-up by GYM to protect Stevenson from the more dangerous guys in the WBC rankings by perpetually keeping Alvarez in the mandatory position.

    honestly though, they should make a rule where a mando has a limit to taking step aside money. i feel like stevenson and alvarez are in collusion with each other. at this rate, if alvarez keeps taking step aside money, stevenson will be the wbc champ for like forever. someone like badou jack or anyone legit should fight eleider alvarez, beat his complacent ass and enforce the mando, and beat stevenson's ass!
