I've been in a couple of street fights, and I've witnessed a lot more.

Do you know how many of them ended on the ground? ZERO.

In one of them a friend of mine went to the ground, after the fight we had to go to the hospital, his face is not the same since then.

It's YOU the one with no F idea about what you are talking about. In the streets, you go to the ground, you are lucky if you dont die. But man, you are lucky, you have never been in one, that's very good, and I'm not being sarcastic, noone should ever be in a streetfight, way too dangerous.

 My goodness, your ignorance and stupidity knows no bounds.

Instagram and twitter doesn't translate to having a bigger reputation or being a bigger draw! smh

And you can't judge a sportsmen reputation and net worth on the amount of boos either.

Again you've threaded along a dead end road with nothing to back up your foolish delusional statements, which you continue to make, one after the other, that are based on absolutely nothing.

Conor is not a bigger draw, neither does he have any where close to his net worth or reputation. Not even a contest.

Twitter followers  You do realise you can buy twitter and instagram followers that is how

And the Diaz brothers are not household names, only hardcore mma fans knew about them prior to Nate fighting Conor.

Even right now people don't even know Nate has a brother

Anderson Silva is popular yet he is not a household name across Europe and the America's

Chuck liddel, again is a popular figure in America but he is far from being a household name. They are the biggest UFC' stars and their names are irrelevant today.

As for Holm's, she only become popular due to stopping another over hyped con artist in Ronda Rousey. Had she not fought her, no would care about her career.

Face it, only Conor Mcregor and Ronda Rousey have become worldwide reputable names, mainly due to their mouths and excessive WWE stylised pr

You've only given me 5 names, and all 5 of them failed to meet the requirements. Should be easy to name more, since you said ''here's actaully allot of household names in ufc'' Well them all then, they should be reeling off your tongue like butter if there are so many...

That's all fine and dandy, but to me this about ENTERTAINMENT, and I don't care how much you dress it up, when these MMA fights hit the ground, it's frightfully DULL to watch. THIS is why boxing is superior, because unlike MMA/UFC, it has intrinsic entertainment value. Fighters are moving around throwing punches, not just, well, lying on the ground and rolling around.

And once that happens, as far as I'm concerned, it's time to go to sleep. I'd rather watch paint dry - it's more exciting!

If you're fighting multiple attackers you're quite right. Rather be a striker than a grappler. One on one, however, grappling techniques are very useful.

However, if you're talking multiple attackers then a pair of running shoes will probably be more useful than martial arts experience, all things being equal.

Kickboxing is even better than boxing for excitement in that case. But, that's my opinion and taste varies.

Every street fight I've witnessed had more than 2 people involved. And numbers never were even. 4 vs 7, 2 vs 5, 9 vs 7 or things like that. I only witnessed one fight 1 vs 1, and one was using a knife and the other a stick.

That's why I say that I dont find mma very useful in a street fight. Not fighting is always the best option in my opinion, mainly because you never know who are you fighting, and it can go all wrong for you, really wrong.

Oh cool you got in street fights....further proving you don't know what you're talking about.
A trained grapples call the ground home, so basically by you're logic its impossible to win a fight on the ground?
Hahahahahahahahaha please anybody who grapples on a high level will get you on your back in 10 seconds and submit you, there's hundhundreds of examples.

Anybody who says fights never end up on the ground is clueless

Man, you are an idiot, no, seriously, you are.
Come on, make a submission here, let's see what happens to you
    This content is protected

What do you think a street fight is? do you think that there is a referee there to say "eh man, this submission is legal, dont hit his head with a bottle"!

You are ridiculous, how old are you ,15?

I've been in two fights against multiple attackers. The one I got stomped like a burger. LOL you should have seen my face. :cunaooooo: The other there were two of them and they didn't like getting punched in the face. Win!

You're absolutely right though, better to avoid that situation entirely. When somebody pulls a knife or a gun, things aren't 'fun' anymore. I have a friend that always seems to get into fights with entire freaking gangs of bouncers. How he's still alive I dunno. That's one of the reasons I don't go out much.

This is about who wins a fight in the octagon 99% of the time. A boxer or an mma practitioner.I would give Floyd absolutely no chance if he fought Conor on the street. It would be a terrible mismatch. Floyd's head would be hurt within a minute. If Floyd actually thought he had a chance don't you think he would agree to another 9 figure payday?

    Old news ;)

"Pankration became the core focus of a Greek soldier’s hand-to-hand training regime. This evidence suggests that Pankration was created to supplement a warrior’s battle prowess (as weapons would often break and combatants would have to use their bare hands and feet)."

    From your link
"in unarmed combat, edged weapons, weapons of opportunity, and rifle and bayonet techniques"

Is mcgregor a specialist in bayonet techniques? wow, didnt know that!

Elite units will never train mma for combat, the same way they will never train boxing for combat. They will do it for the sake of the sport, but not for combat. You know why? rules, in combat, there are no rules. They train all that pop his eyes, break his fingers, hit the throat, kick his groins stuff. And last time I checked in mma they were too busy rubbing their crown jewels on eachother's butts to do this.
