What's harder to deal with when fighting bigger men? Their power or their chin?

Take a stand you rancid pimple of a creature, and decide whether one should or should not build muscle to resist blows. Until then, don't bother me with the dribbling smegma that you pass off as logic.

Imho, their reach. It's a nightmare. At least for me.

I'm guessing that they make you chase and try to keep you on the end of their jab?

Yep, I was not the best boxer ever to be honest. And every time I tried to get into distance I was tagged by a jab or counter-right. Specially the jab. I didnt know how to deal with it. I was just bad, I have to admit it. I love the sport, but I was not blessed by the gods of boxing :(

I could handle the power and the chin, but the reach, I had not skill enough to deal with that. I found it extremelly difficult, and because of that I appreciate a lot the fighters that can deal with a reach disadvantage, or those that can make 100% use of their reach advantage. Reach is extremelly overpowered imho.

I can see Wlad / Chagaev in my mind's eye right now. Chaggy was a very decent boxer, but he was virtually helpless against Wlad's long jab. I suppose that footwork is the answer, but imho footwork is one of the harder things to master in boxing.

I'll say it's the awkwardness due to their body being in the way of landing your hardest shots. In some cases, with a real big dude that can really fight, they can be like stones, and their may not carry the same pop as people at lower weight classes, but they can carry their weight. Not every heavyweight can punch, nor do they have a chin.

Honestly, worst possible style to match up with is someone like Wilder because he's built like a knock out machine. The guys that are built like Wilder can match a small man's footwork, but catch them with long punches and put them out.

That's a dangerous fighter for anyone. Wilder has the capability to get to anyone. If he gets to you, you're out.

Ali had a better chin than Wlad Klitschko but Whyte probably hits harder than Dempsey. But Wlad didn't have a good chin for his size and Ali had a great chin for his size. His brother Vitali did have a good chin, and his chin might have been better than Ali's. Really, I'd put Ali and Evander Holyfield's chins up there with just about anybodies even though they were both about 6-3, 215 pounds. They were so damn durable that they could stand up to larger stronger men like Foreman, Lewis, and Bowe.

Dempsey was 6 foot 190 pounds with ATG cruiserweight power. Him and Marciano probably hit like your average 6-3 220 pound heavy. I don't think he's got the same pop as a 6-4 Dillian Whyte even if Whyte might not have ATG heavyweight power or great technique.

yeh everything is uniform in direction, there never exist two systems in the world of BCS. God help him if he realises he has a sympathetic AND parasympathetic nervious system.

no need to waste time on those who cant grasp that.

Its not only the power and the chin ( though a smaller man could be better here ) its the height and the reach.

Where's Zakman to get the thread on track? This is the one time when we need the chin checkers.

200 lb? I thought pounds was used for measuring weight.

    200 lb, a punch from a 200 lb man?
