Isn't it a bit too early to be making pre-emptive excuses for GGG?

For the first time in history, people are already crying about the scorecard before a single card has even been marked! C'mon guys, you're better than this.

And not only that, they are already wheeling out the old Mike Tyson excuse, that if Canelo wins it is only because GGG is shot.

The bottom line is, whether Canelo wins a close decision or a clear majority, it is because the judges thought he was the better guy. Simple as that.

    Winners win, losers make excuses.

Unlike commentators, fans don't have a professional responsibility to adhere to objectivity when evaluating chances or providing post fight analyses. Unfortunately, commentators under professional obligation to be fair very often describe a favored fighter as over the hill when their fighter disappoints them by losing.

Then, as if the fans were lobotomized, they have been observed blatantly contradicting themselves once more by describing him as the most qualified contender for the HW crown.

Later that same fighter suffers another setback against the same boxer they profoundly dislike and they once more proudly trot-out their over-the-hill excuse.

Such commentators give the impression of :

    1. perhaps having a very low opinion of boxing fan IQ,

    2. suffering from some self-induced hypnotic state which stunts their reasoning abilities,

    3. being motivated by a pathological need to annoy the ones they imagine are rooting for the disliked boxer.

Whatever might be their motivation, they are violating the required objectivity they promised to abide by when they applied for the job and doing the fans a serious disservice via dispensing misinformation.

Riiiiiight. So trying to point out corruption and possible cheating before a mega fight happens in an attempt to avoid another Ward v.s Kovalev scenario is "Making pre-emptive excuses" ?? Lol

**** these idiots and their "nothing to see here folks" cards they pull when pointing out the obvious.

They are so ****ing repulsive. As long as their guy wins it does not matter to them what measures were taken to achieve the desired result.

Time for the good guys to pull out all the stops also :) Can you imagine GGG taking anything he wants for a full year without getting a visit from a VADA goon?! :D

we don't know what excuses the loser will have after all is said and done.
the judges can easily rob Canelo and give the fight to GGG as well and vice versa
but this is boxing and we know that the outcome isin't always what it should be.
so for people to be saying that whoever wins should get full credit sounds like maybe they think the game is rigged in their boxers favor and are banking on that.

so, i think we can all agree that the best man does not always win in boxing due to unfair advantages, it can happen to both boxers, we should give credit to where it belongs, not where the officials tell us it belongs, because we have eyes can determine ourselves

it doesn't matter anyways because Canelo is getting KTFO in 10 seconds

    Point 1....GGG is 35, he isn't young.

    Point 2.....GGG is definitely top 3 to 5 P4P.

I do think Golovkin has slipped a bit in the past couple of years. Canelo has also prob improved as he's filled out. I think this has made the fight a lot closer than it would of been.

I don't think however that Golovkin has deteriorated to the point where a close win shouldn't be respected as a great win for Canelo and think if he wins handily then it will just show how the fight would of gone no matter when it happened.

You mean like what Jacobs did before their fight and is doing right now as he waits for the winner?
