Yeah, along the same lines as Armstrong probably being the best 130lb fighter in history, even though he never really bothered with the division itself. You beat enough great fighters in your division, then chances are you're pretty great in your own right.

That is right. He won the relatively newly created IBF title that was given to Larry Holmes. His first fight with Holmes was a master piece performance however.

Qawi is great but Roy is a terrible matchup for him(fyi Roy is a terrible matchup for everyone). Qawi didn't deal with speed that well.

What fight at 175 from 79-83 would you put forward as showing Braxton/Qawi not dealing with speed well? He only lost to ATG Michael Spinks. Barely any fights went the distance.

Who did Roy beat that was better than Qawi? Qawi would have beat the hell out of Toney and would have ran Roy out of the ring or knocked him out. Roys resume is ****. People always gave and give Roy props because of how he looked, not who he fought, and how he looked was based entirely on who he fought and when he fought them. Roy's rep was created by matchmakers, not by his ability.

I wouldn't favour him over those I've listed.

Qawi & Langford surely the best of the Little Big men.

lol exposed yourself as a casual

Roy has the deepest resume in modern boxing with about 12 legit B+ wins over guys like Jorge Castro, Julio Cesar Gonzalez who became champs after Roy beat them. Real boxing fans recognize these wins while casuals ignore them. Of course he also has the A level wins with Hopkins Toney and Hill.

I worded that wrong. I should of said he wouldn't deal with Roy's speed well(no one would deal with Roy's speed well).

Qawi never actually fought anyone with amazing speed. M.Spinks is the closest thing and it took Qawi half the fight for him to cut off the ring and get inside.

Lol. Yeah, im casual. Ive been following the sport for 37 yrs, Ive boxed, Im a published author since 2000, I have one of the largest fight film collections in the world and the largest collection of rare/unpublished fight films, Ive got the third largest boxing radio broadcast collection in the world, oh, and I get paid to do all of this which means not only am I not casual but im a paid professional within the sport. If you wanna have a dick measuring competition get back to me when you can boast half of those credentials...

Either casual or just irrational hate for Roy, your choice. But no real boxing fan can say Roy's resume is shyt.

I just did. Deal with it. When you have to list two second stringers like Gonzalez and Castro as two of his better wins I consider myself vindicated.
