I reckon Taylor is at a bit of a crossrods I think he likes the McGuigan set up but the financial side of things is going to hold him back, he needs to make a decision he may go with David Haye since they are well aquainted and have worked together or Hearn could probably put him on with the other Scottish boxers in the Hydro the other road may be with Frampton - Haymon which would mean travelling to the US.
I just think with Taylor The improvement in Brophy Easton Simmons Scotland had enough talent at the moment to have regular big bills, but all those fighters would need to be on the same promotional platform or be allowed to fight on same platform a few times a year.
Why when he can headline his own shows in Scotland, if I were him that would easily be my prefered choice
Taylor can rewrite recent Scots boxing, he is a genuine boxer/puncher and a bit of a throwback not seen in Scotland for decades. Get him to the TOP Proper, whomever he belongs too.
I don't recall anyone saying he should leave Cyclone after his ko victory over Davies, Cyclone have done great things for josh in his career, loyalty is lacking in our sport always has.
Does Cyclone even exist anymore? Yes, to this point Taylor has been moved well, but if Barry & co are no longer able to carry on progressing him for whatever reason then loyalty doesn't even come Into it.
of coarse there still going, they have a major tv channel supporting them because they produce good viewing figures, loyalty always comes into it, don't think the grass is always greener on the other side mate, it isnt
but why would he stay when he wont get paid much and wont be able to get big fights? he needs to leave to fuhrer his career.
it didn't work? He was a two weight world champion ffs are you mad Once you been in a relationship with a coach long term it hardly ever works with someone else, because doubts will always creep in
Frampton no doubt has left in a position where he isn't financially secure, having to pay all the mcguigans wages for so long, Taylor will also be doing that if he is the top dog meaning he is earning less for himself. Why does would he wanna fight on channel 5 his whole career?
Eddie Hearn has a big enough slice of the pie as it is. If people keep saying that 'such and such' should leave their promoter just to get certain fights then his slice will be getting even bigger, and I am really not sure that would be a good thing for boxing.
people aren't saying they should necessarily join hearn, but they need to leave cyclone to join anywhere else whether it be warren, hearn, itv, the states, dave with hayemaker. Taylor wont reach where he should reach if he stays with cyclone.
