Will Joshua vs Pulev sell out Millennium Stadium?

On a serious note I think it's pretty obvious he'd sell out Cardiff. He sold 90,000 at Wembley against a stalwart champion who I'd say 80-90% of people there hadn't ever seen fight. So the Milennium would be easy I'd say.

I'd begrudge giving Joshua my money but I'd even fancy it. Had a couple of belter times there with the footy.

 

Yeah i think its a better stadium than wembley. Keeps the noise in better even with the roof open. With it shut it will be class.

Well yes if you look at everything as a negative you could come to this conclusion but flip it around and you have a fighter who come back from the brink of defeat to and stopped a legend in a huge fight.

I really don't understand the desire for people to see AJ lose. Haters never want to give credit and always look to criticise no matter what.

 

it's either racism, they're very insecure and don't like other people doing well, or they're have an unexplained hate for matchroom/hearn and therefor wish defeat on every matchroom fighter, either way these people are not all there in the head.

I don't see how you can play the race card just because there may be a section of boxing fans may want to see AJ lose.

They could want him to lose because they don't like his 'humble' smugness, and think he is a bit of a fake. There may be a few that want him to lose just because he is Hearns golden goose, I don't know. But you can not make the jump to make a statement someone is racist, just because they want him to lose.

Personally I just want to see him in competitive fights. The last fight against Wlad was superb, and competitive. It is a shame there is no rematch as that could have been great fun to watch. I worry that there are not maybe more than two or three fighters out there that could be competitive for more than two or three rounds, and that is a shame.

 

Yeah AJ doesn't have many rivals right now. A shock loss and then revenge for him wouldn't be worst thing ever as it might build a sense of jeopardy that in a few years might be lacking. The Wlad fight was SO good because i really couldn't say with even 70% confidence who would win

 

This is why we need Tyson Fury back. Yes lots of people hate him on here, Celtic fans hate Rangers but nobody would have missed them more than them when they languished in the lower divisions. Fury & AJ could be a potentially brilliant rivalry.

 

No doubt I will get slagged off for some kind of 'gypsy hate' by saying this, but I don't see AJ v TF as remotely competitive. Fury wouldn't last 3 rounds.

 

To just expand the point I was trying to make.......I think you have to be a proper puncher to have a chance against AJ, and TF is definitely not heavy handed.

 

Not sure I agree that you need that style to beat AJ, but I'd agree that it wouldn't be competitive. Too long out the ring for Tyson.

 

I just can't see anyone lasting 12 rounds with AJ without being tagged a good few times. I know a lot of the TF faithful think the fight would go exactly the same way as Wlad but I just can not see that.
