    It still pains me that Joltin Jeff Chandler vs Lupe Pintor never happened? We have had a few threads on this forum years ago and memory says the consensus was split...My vote did and does go to Chandler (no surprise huh?)

    But there are others:
    Vicente Saldivar vs Flash Elorde
    Shane Mosley vs Tito Trinidad
    Tyson vs Bowe 92
    Chris Eubank vs Toney or RJJ
    B Hop vs Toney

    What great fights do you regret never happening? Pryor vs SRL, Dempsey vs Wills? Marciano vs Patterson? JMM vs Morales? Vitali vs Wlad???

    What should have been?

    can't remember for definite, but I don't think Cerdan vs Burley was ever a proper 'planned' fight, more an after the fact great consideration.

    Same as Jock McAvoy vs Freddie Steele, not sure 'IF' it was ever a 'planned' match up, but certainly a Great fight missed...

    but in Britain anyway the Scotsman's Bert Gilroy's Title Tilts against both McAvoy at middleweight and Freddie Mills at L-HW are the biggest blight on British Boxing, legacy, history and integrity.

    But as we know the BUSINESS of Boxing has little of that!

    Roberto Duran vs. Sugar Ray Leonard late winter, early spring 1981! Settle it all. Duran would be DeJesus3 like skyhigh. Leonard knew this and thus hid behind no mas excuse for not fighting

    Duran was completely demoralized and embarassed in Nov. 1980. No way he gets his act together by early '81 to settle anything.
