I think Floyd's win over Alvarez is still narrowing the margin between the two, so Pea in both. That's not to say it isn't close though

Can you just write their full names. These weird nicknames are confusing for normal people like me who havent been on this forum for very long.

It doesn't seem like you can edit thread titles anyomore, at least from a mobile. But Floyd Mayweather (PBF) and Pernell Whitaker (Pea).

    Hard call.

Floyd has certainly aged better. Sweet Pea had problems with drugs and wasn't as dedicated as Floyd, so by the age of 35 he was shot. And Floyd scored some very good wins after 35. So in terms legacy Floyd may edge Sweet Pea based on that.

Yeah, in terms of longevity it's Floyd by some margin. Pea had a better record in his prime, though. Depends on what one emphasises.

    Both have had controversial decisions....

Pea was dominated by JCC and the judges gift wrapped himself Draw. He was also dominated in the 2nd Ramirez fight, that was a mirror of the butt kicking that JLR dished out in the first one. Yet is handed another controversial decision.

With PBF/FMJ or money...hard to keep track as he was known for changing his alias after every loss. Disgraceful just own up to it bro!!! He was dominated by Oscar, PAC and JMM, and then went on to fight MMA guys when boxers proved to tough.

So tough call, both have won and lost so the record is a toss up.. so who is better Pea or money... imo the answer is clearly Manny Pacquio!!!

I think Floyd's record is definitely better. Skill is whoever you want.

In skill it is a preference but I always like sweet peas ability to fight in the pocket center ring avoiding punishment

Career I can't argue this FMM is an ATG and beat everyone

Pea doesn't do drugs and is health concious like FMM he may have been greater but.....

Dominated by JMM? JMM was made to look inept, kinda like yourself.

I like Whitaker. If Floyd had the judges Whitaker had in his career he wouldn't be undefeated and with that goes a lot of his mystique.

Pea had one loss total in his career that should have been a win. Stop whining.

What about the draw to Chavez?
Let's say Mayweather gets a loss to Castillo as many believe and then gets a draw to maidana.
Many more ppl would side with Whitaker.
