I watched Mayweather vs Castillo I and I think Mayweather won that fight.

It was a rough tough fight for Mayweather but....

Half the punches Castillo landed he landed while he was holding Mayweather. A lot of them were not good clean punches.

Mayweather did pivot Castillo like a matador a lot, especially during the first half of the fight.

The point deduction for Mayweather in round 10 I think was wrong. Especially since Castillo was hitting him from the back earlier in that round. Also Castillo could easily have had a second point deducted for other dirty tactics like low blows.

In round 11 Mayweather stood toe to toe with Castillo and really showed him who Daddy is. Trading with him just the same and showing better defence.

Giving such privileged fighters such as MW a rematch is agreeing to another exercise in sheer frustration unless you can KO them cuz you sure as hell aint gonna draw or win on points.

It would be similar to Jones agreeing to a rematch with Margarito in Mexico again. Seems as if judges always find some way to see it in his favor or else are instructed to do so. Very similar to how many biased fans reason whenever their favored fighter is involved.

I don't agree. Castillo used a lot of rough tactics but not necesairly a lit of great punching. Half of Castillo's punches landed were while he was holding Mayweather. They were not proper punches landed.

Scored the first fight for Castillo by one point, but thought that a draw probably also would have been fair. His performance gets overrated (particularly by guys who dislike Mayweather...) but he outworked Mayweather and won a bunch of rounds by default when Mayweather basically stopped throwing punches. He didn't actually "beat Mayweather up" of have him in trouble or anything, but I thought he deserved the decision.

Castillo was the boss in the fight, plain and simple.

Havent watched that in a while. Scored it by a point for Floyd but it was very close and I probably could score it either way depending on what day I watch it

as others have said floyd is so hated by a lot of fans and casuals a like plus the many years of pacquiao vs mayweather debating that i think its been grossly overstated that this was some massive robbery

I dont think it was a massive robbery. I think robbery might even be too strong a word because it was close but to me it was clear. Some fights are close because the rounds are close and hard to distinguish but this fight was fairly clear imo.

Ringside media had it mostly for Floyd. Lederman had one of the widest scores possible for Castillo on air, which probably affected public perception.

Lederman is an idiot with no concept of ring generalship, ring iq, defense, parries, counters, slips, or anything relating to the sweet science. He automatically sides with the aggressive fighter even if they have sloppy techniqe or fail to land anything.
