Everyone is still b*tching about floyd/mcgregor or talking about Canelo/GGG which I am also excited about, but we all know whats the biggest story in boxing right now. Crawford just united all 140lbs by a unheard of 3 rd round knock out. Im not a fan of Crawford. I think all his fights are kind of boring but thats what happens when your light years ahead of the division. I don't think I have ever seen this kid pushed to the limits. Now hes moving up to 147. He posted on twitter "Im hungry and I need it all. #147." Man! Im scared for everyone in the division. We got: Thurman - has 2 belts Spence - IBF Porter Garcia Brook Peterson - "regular" WBA (Idk neither. smh) Im just putting this guy on the list cuz he has the WBO - Jeff Horn Vargas I mean this is a start to a great 147 tournament. I'll take Crawford over all of them. I see Thurman has the only challenge to Crawford unifying the belts at 147. What do you guys think?
Thurman - Beats Crawford Spence - 55/45 Lean Crawford Porter - 60/40 Lean Crawford Garcia - Crawford Easily. Brook - Probably moving to 154, Moot Point. Peterson - Crawford, Competitive But Clear. Horn - Better win than anything on Bud's resume, 55/45 Lean Bud. Vargas - Vargas does have that lunging straight right, but 70/30 Bud.
Stop trolling bro. Who you got winning? I think Thurman would fight Crawford better just based off experience. Errol seemed a little pushed by Brook when they fought.
Who's trolling? Same here, I was expecting Brook to beat Spence, I was wrong, but I was kind of right as well, Brook was either winning the rounds or keeping the rounds damn close up until the eye injury, and he the eye injury not occurred, Brook would have probably nicked it via UD. Brook did that with very little movement and by just beating Spence to the punch, Crawford would be on his bike and counter the hell out of Spence throughout, and probably beat him a lot easier than most seem to think. 55-45 was generous, I actually think its 65/35.
I bet you're one of those guys that thought Brook exposed Golovkin by winning one round before being stopped right? Well Brook won around 4 or 5 off of Spence, then why doesn't that constitute as an exposure? Oh wait, I know why, you don't have to answer.
This. The only person that Crawford has faced that's really challenged him was Gamboa, who has really fast hands and a great jab. Besides Thurman I think the other guys lack the handspeed and explosiveness to give Crawford a hard time. The only thing with Thurman is he doesn't like being crowded and unlike Porter Crawford can apply effective pressure. Crawford will also have a reach advantage over everyone at 147.
I doubt prime Ganboa, Postol or Dulorme could beat even this version of Pacquiao or Vargas tahat Pac beat last year, its more that Horn is bigger, stronger, meaner and more durable, than better. And sometimes that's enough to make a difference even with the most skilled guys. Granados and Imam are a good example, granted Crawford is far better than Imam, but Horn is also far better than Granados.
