As I've stated in another thread five UK PPVs in the space of six weeks is crazy. It'll be interesting to see how ITV price their PPVs.

The only one guaranteed to do high numbers in AJ. The others could struggle.

If you were only going to buy one, as most people will, would it be Groves or Eubank Jr?

theres still a few weeks left, so they could yet do something smart PR wise. marketing it as the antithesis of what matchroom have done with AJ, ie, all PPV on an already subscriber channel.

a hark back to when they had big fights on the big fight live in the 90's. a 'genuine' HW title fight, in the UK free on itv, i think it would do good numbers personally if they were clever about it.

but then again i guess things arent quite like they used to be. and it never ceases to amaze me just how many people pay for s*y sports (and then extra for the PPV, wtf?).

So now we have bt/boxnation + box nation ppv, sky sports + sky box office , channel 5, dave, itv 4 +ppv and youtube ppv's!! Is the boxing market big enough for all this?!

Either way it's all built on the back of success sky and matchroom have had.

No issue if PPVs are under £12, Can justify charging £15/16 for Groves Vs EUBANK Jr. & Final

Very pleased to see ITV have taken this up, Eubank's fights will obviously be on PPV but hopefully the Groves v Cox fight will be on ITV1, could do good numbers if it's on ITV1 but I don't think the numbers will be that great if they sell it as a PPV.

X Factor is on Saturday nights surely they could advertise the **** out of the boxing and have the fight follow that?

Undercard on ITV 4 then have the main event on ITV 1

I don't watch X Factor but my understanding is that the results are normally done between 9:30 & 10:00, so they could do the undercard on ITV4 and main event at 10 on ITV1 like you say. X Factor is a massive show so it will only help increase views for the main event if they advertise during programe.
