highlight reel ko's are precisely his problem...once he stopped getting them - against bigger opponents - he lacked the fundamentals to win "normally" like everyone else has to do.....
If you were a fan of his you wouldn't be hoping for him to get any more big names. He is well past half-life.
Nonito is a strange case. It wasn't like he was shoehorning big shots to get his pre-Rigondeaux KOs. He employed deft footwork, angles, patience, speed, and intelligent counterpunching. Basically, he demonstrated elite boxing skills to go along with then frightening power.
Yes - and he would have employed lots of hard training to get himself into the shape needed to do all those things.....then he lost his 'hunger'....plus as I say the opponents got bigger too..
