just an opinion, but he looked almost unconcious when they got him back to the corner. they formed a tight circle around him where you couldn't see what they were doing. then all of a sudden he was fresh as a daisy. looked like the work of cocaine to me.

Because you are assuming Cooper is an Ali-killer. The truth is the exact opposite.

It is almost like you HAVENT seen them.

Just because Cooper was lucky in landing that shot doesn't automatically transform him into something that he's not. It simply means that he was lucky.

Is it true that Cooper hurt Ali? Well you only have to watch the fight to see that part is true? The next part is all if's. Ali was given more time to recover. The thing that we know about Ali now is that he was able to recover quickly. He was able to take a huge amount of punishment and recover. It's likely in my opinion that Ali would of outboxed Cooper anyway after the one minute break he would of had, but the extra time would of been like giving 3 minutes to recover to a person like Ali.

Ali's the greatest heavyweight ever, but even the greatest boxers get hurt, no shame in that, it's what makes boxing the greatest sport on earth.

The reason I called it luck is because I heard that Ali was waving to someone in the audience when it happened.

    A. He jumped up immediately after the knockdown, something you failed to mention. Did he already have cocaine in his system that helped him to jump in his feet so quickly?
B."Looks like the work of cocaine to me." "They gave Ali a bit stronger than smelling salts in that corner." Your quotes. Yours. You an expert on smelling salts and cocaine? And these are based on your opinion, not any proof? And I'm the moron, lol? Buy a mirror. You can seriously use one.
    C. "Never said I had proof and and your moronic opinions about anything mean squat to me," another one of your gems. Doesn't mean squat to you, but yet you keep responding, lol. Btw, you accuse someone of using cocaine especially in a boxing match, you better have proof otherwise you're just demonstrating to everyone what a moron you are.

What do you want as it's the General? This thread belongs in the Classic as the fight is approximately 50 years old. Over there, guaranteed the opinions on the matter would be far more intelligent from more informed people.
