I mean McGregor has no heart because he's a bully.

Look at how the man operates. Look at how he talked about Nate Diaz. That was really disrespectful to insult his intelligence like that. You have to be really bold to talk about somebody like that on television. I also saw the way he was disrespectful to Mayweather in front of his daughter. Unacceptable. If you have kids, how would you feel of some MMA guy was talking down to you in front of your family? You just don't do that to a man.

Then the weigh in incident? We won't even go there. But it was all unnecessary to sell this fight. You also have the Pauli situation which was clearly a lie even though he had plenty of people believing that it wasn't due to his tampering with the evidence.

These are all signs of an insecure bully mentality. And what happens when McGregor loses confidence in his own offense and he runs out of gas? He folds. That's all there is to it. As soon as McGregor has to dig deep to win, he quits. That's what he's shown, which is what bullies do. They talk a lot of crap, then they quit.

That's why he has no heart. He's just a very disrespectful individual and I just disagree with you about what you think he could have done against Mayweather at range. That's why I suggested Lara because it is likely that Lara would simply fight McGregor at range, so we could see if someone who is below Mayweather's capability can beat McGregor at range.

That would put your theory to the test. Anyway, forget what I think about McGregor's mentality, I honestly did not see the amount of punches stated by compubox landing for McGregor.

Also, McGregor kept resorting to cheating. That's a desperate move of a bully. Come on man.

You clearly haven't watched him in MMA. He has had to dig deep to win on more than one occasion. Seems to me like you just are just listening to stuff that Mayweather and Paulie said about McGregor and running with it.

Heart? Do yourself a favor and watch this... please.

I rewatched. I saw the left hand, did not notice it the first time. I'm not trying to quarrel but that punch didn't look like it could bust a grape. You have to remember Mayweather has NEVER been down in 21 years. He took the hip shot and limped like a guy who has never seen his opponent fight would. The ref stopped the action which is what you are SUPPOSED to do when an infraction is committed. Then McGregor hit him on the break and that was weak too.

People are really, really into bringing up controversy on this silly fight for some reason. There wasn't any. And old guy with declining skills took his time getting to know a big, young, unorthodox, but athletic novice he had never seen fight before.

It's really as simple as that.

I never suggested that Floyd was about to go out, or that the ref saved him. I do, however, think that Floyd was shook by that left hand. I think that it surprised him. I don't think that it was a murderous shot, or that Floyd was out on his feet... he was stunned by the punch. He then took advantage of Conor straying low on his follow up punch. Nothing wrong with that.

It doesn't take a huge punch to shake someone up. A shot that you aren't expecting can do it quite easily. Also, I've seen Floyd hurt on a few occasions in his career, and I also feel that Zab should have been credited with an obvious knockdown in their fight. Just saying, it isn't as if he has never been hurt before in a fight. Doesn't matter in the end, I was just stating what I saw when I watched the fight.

I won't argue with your last statement. That isn't unreasonable, however... the fact that Floyd needed to do that with McGregor is a credit to McGregor. If it was some sort of incredible mismatch, he wouldn't have needed to do anything more than walk out there and take him out in the most spectacular fashion possible. Again, that's not a knock on Floyd, its a credit to McGregor that he was better than expected. Also, credit to Floyd for finding a way to win like he always does. I don't see why it's so difficult for some people to give them both credit.

This is absolutely right. You put this guy in with a young guy his size he'd get mauled. He has no stamina and no big punches to keep a guy off him.

He's a fighter, not a boxer, it's too late if it ever could have happened anyway. The guy would make a really high level amateur though, you put him in with headgear* and 12 ounce gloves and 3 round fights he could give guys hell.

*Yes I know AIBA doesn't use headgear.

I give McGregor all the credit in the world. The guy is a world-class athlete to pick up what he did in 5 months.

Conor and his team and plenty of supporters were apparently confident in a KO win and Floyd's record going to 49-1, Conor vowed to march through Floyd's pity pat punches and destroy him with his special brand of fighting genius. Every time I spoke with a fan of Conor prior to the fight they assured me Conor himself is 100% confident and at the very least Floyd would be in the fight of his life what with the insane power in Conors death hand left :)lol:) and his matrix like sense of timing. The amount of bets on a Conor win dwarfed those on Mayweather from every source I read prior to the fight, lots of people believed in Conor.

While it is true what you say about the fight going on longer than what most sensible minds predicted, this was down to Floyd being his usual over cautious self plus his fail safe game plan of wait until CM inevitably gasses. If Mayweather turned up the heat sooner the fight would've ended sooner. Conor had nothing for him whatsoever, he can't punch and looked like he hadn't even bothered to train boxing at all which wouldn't be that surprising from what I know of his sycophantic entourage/team.
He got the money but he doesn't deserve any credit for performing about as bad as most sensible people predicted and far worse than some of his more rabid fans were expecting and what Conor and his team were promising those fans.

The greatest betting spot in living memory is testament to the extent of the delusion ConorFan was under prior to his getting walked down terminator style and stopped by peanut headed pensioner, little Floyd "Monzon" Mayweather!

That would be one rough M-F *****! Every one of his 49 opponents would commit suicide if that story broke.

Fixed fight, just like Alvarez/Chavez and Golovkin/Alvarez...................Alvarez will need to keep from getting knocked out, but even if he gets knocked down in every round, the corrupt judges in Vegas will give Alvarez the decision, from what I have been seeing on several videos and the street grape vine, Oscar has already made a deal with the WBO for Alvarez to fight for it, then he will rematch Mayweather, this has been planned.............good reason Saunders would not fight Golovkin before because Golovkin would have knocked him out, then he would haev had bargaining power. Expect a rigged fight, you will be let down like Alvarez/Chavez.............

    https://www.mmafighting.com/2017/9/...-vs-mcgregor-officially-breaks-u-k-ppv-record

Pretty incredible for a 5am fight.

Shows what a difference it makes when the Sky machine is behind it pumping out content all week before a fight is due to take place.

GGG V Canelo doesn't have that over here on box nation PPV.

Please God nobody put this down as a boxing PPV record.

It was an exhibition, a sideshow, a circus.

    Nothing more. Nothing less.
