As far as I know, Michael Nunn and Sumbu Kalambay aren't still there despite they were better boxers than Arthuro Gatti or Barry McGuigan.

    Who else can you name?

    Barry shouldn't be in there

Benny Yanger's resume is more impressive than any heavyweight champion's other than Ezzard Charles', but he's still not in (shows the level of historians who were picking old-timers for IBHoF).

Santos Laciar is a shocking omission, and Donald Curry should be really be there, particularly when you consider that the likes of Pipino Cuevas and Ray Mancini have got the call.

All excellent choices. And, I will give another nod to Donald Curry and Michael Nunn.

Curry and Nunn were already mentioned but those two definitely have a strong case for the IBHOF. It still blows my mind that much more deserving, more talented champions like Curry and Nunn get shafted yet Gatti gets in before them? I mean.....really???

Politics are obviously involved in the selection process.

Of those already mentioned: Nunn, Curry, Laciar and Starling, in that order.

I agree. The Hall shouldn't be popularity contest.

Barry was iconic. I do not know why Gatti is there except for the obvious, his heart and fighting great fights. But he was not a guy who beat the best guys. Although we will remembered Gatti much more than we will Nunn or Kalambay.

Starling should get in. Curry? Hard to say. Compared to some who made it in maybe, but he did fizzle out big time. It is hard to say. Nunn? Nunn is not Hof..

Cuevas had 10 title defenses and was iconic. I think he should have been in. What derailed him was Thomas Hearns, who would derail anyone.

    Bump

I forgot about Kalambay not being in. He should be in, too.

I hadn't even noticed who got in this year.

I must have missed the thread for the 2018 class.
