Even today 2017 no one stopped him other then Gennady Golovkin Murray despite taking the beating and being ruined by golovkin fought groves and Abraham to name a few I think he will be more easy to stop now He is really tough you need to hit super hard to stop him
Murray gave an interview recently where he said Groves hit harder than GGG, but many of GGG's punches hurt him more because he could not see them coming.
I like how a fighter who gets stopped by one fighter but not another always says the fighter who didn't stop them hit harder. Judah said Matthyse hit harder than Zoo, Barkley said Hearns hit harder than Benn, etc. My feeling is GGG probably hits harder than Groves and I'm not sure where Murray says he couldn't see GGG shots but Grove's shots. Of course he was in the ring with both fighters but I don't think there is any debate that Murray has faster hands than GGG. I don't know why fighters don't just give the fighter that stopped them more credit. Also, the Murray fight is telling of GGG power and it is one of the reasons I don't think Canelo is going to make it to the final bell. Murray has world class whiskers, no doubt about it. Does Canelo?
