Both guys in prime, meeting in a Bowe v holy type series of 3? Who takes it, who wins the series? All fights scheduled for 12 rounds.
Bowe wins. I don't think it would warrant a rematch fergy. Bowe was a monster in Holy 1. I hate to bring size into it, but it really is a tall order for Louis. Bowe has most things in his favour. I think he would wear Louis down like he did Holy. I don't see Louis as robust as Holy so I think he gets stopped
Bowe might win one because of his size but Louis beat big men and knocked them out and wouldn`t any problem hitting Bowe the biggest problem for L;ouis would be Bowe`s reach and his jab. I think these fights will depend on who lands first but in a long gruelling fight Bowe could have the advantage because his size would help him absorb punishment better, but Louis was more skilled than Bowe so he would win one of these also.
Bowe soaks it up and comes back at him. He aint taking what the real deal took. Although I agree he is a faster combo puncher than Holy, that's not the part that worries me, its return fire from a longer man with A grade skills.I think Bowe has the last say in exchanges
I know its been said, but all the old timers never faced super heavys with skills of a Bowe, Klit Bro's and Lennox...Its another step up. They would struggle bad with a combo of size and skill
Im kinda split on this Birmingham tbh. On one hand I see exactly where your coming from on the size difference. And it's not as if Bowe, Lewis and the Klitschko s were just big lugs with no talent. I mean, it's hard to see Louis been as successful this day and age. But saying that, I find it hard to write off a fighter as hard punching and good as Joe was. Both in there prime I find it hard to really to pick a winner. But I going to go with Bowe of the first Holyfield battle to come out on top, and even then it's a tough pick Birmingham.
I couldn't see Louis getting past the jab if they decided to sit behind the jab Fergy. I think Holy is probably a good bench mark for me to judge how smaller complete fighters would fare against the four I mentioned. I honestly cant think of a fighter under 220 i'd put money on to beat him. He was so good but he just got worn out against the big men. ATG chin, heart plus his own combination punching, mobility, Holy is as complete a heavy you will ever get. One thing I will say is, I cant see Louis taking punishment on the level of what Holy took and comeback. Its as simple as the old saying goes Fergy. A good biggun beats a good littl'un in a nutshell
Course it is mate, it's all we can do when talking about match ups from other eras. And I agree with a lot of your posts. As great as Joe was he'd be facing a very talented, bigger guy, so the odds will be against him.
you got that right brother. To even put Holyfield in the same category as Joe is a disgrace. Louis knocks all of them out. Wake up people! That bigger is better stuff y'all hang your hat on is Bull**** in the heavyweights. And btw, get rid of this Jose the scumbag Suliman 12 round crap that ruined boxing. 15 rounds baby! The championship length.
