PRIME LOUIS V PRIME BOWE, SERIES OF 3?

Louis did extremely better in rematches. The first fight would be competitive but the second will be a blowout which pretty much destroys Bowe mentally. For Louis, the third fight would be easier than tying your shoes in the morning.

 

Louis would tee off on Bowe all night.
If Holyfield, Golota and Herbie f'n Hide could hit Bowe at will then so could Joe Louis and with the power, speed and skill Joe had it would be a long night for Big Daddy.

 

No, Bowe wasn't that smart of a fighter. There isn't anything he does better nor does he have a stylistic advantage.

 

Wouldn't it be great! My favorite era is 1890~1927. I would love to see 45, 25, 20 rounders. But 15 is what I used to go to and as the great Arguello said, "Any good fighter should be able to go 12, but 15 is separates the champions from the Rest. Bouts are fought completely different when after the 6th round, the fight is only 1/3 over.

 

Maybe but I still feel he`ll catch Louis less Holy`s defense and footwork didn`t improve until the second Bowe fight onwards. The overweight Bowe from that fight loses unless he lands a lucky punch.

Why couldn't Baer if Galento and Schmeling could? After all, Baer stopped both Galento and Schmeling.

Depends on how Louis can take Bowe's power. If he can take it well, I give Louis the win by KO/TKO.

 

Louis had defended his title 6 times in 6 months before he fought Conn in addition to draining himself up under 200 pounds to make it more fair for his opponent which left him dehydrated.

Imagine if Tyson defended his title 6 times in 6 months and tried to drain himself to say 210 lbs before fighting Michael Spinks?

It'd make quite a difference, wouldn't it?

 

The caveat is Louis punching power in comparison to Holyfield's power. A 205 lb Louis hit with a lot more destructiveness than a 205 lb Holyfield.

If Holyfield fought Abe Simon, I can see Holyfield winning in the manner he won vs Foreman, delivering a pulverizing beating and winning a clear UD.

But imagine if Louis hit George Foreman with 17 unanswered punches in a row? 17 punches he could put his back into?
