Watched it twice both times had Castillo by a point. Close fight but I think Castillo bullied and outworked Mayweather for almost entire second half.

    My card:

    Round 1: 10-9 Mayweather
    Round 2: 10-10 Even
    Round 3: 10-9 Mayweather
    Round 4: 10-10 Even
    Round 5: 10-9 Mayweather
    Round 6: 10-9 Castillo
    Round 7: 10-9 Castillo
Round 8: 9-9 Even (Scored it for Castillo but the ref deducted one point from Castillo for hitting on the break)
    Round 9: 10-9 Castillo
Round 10: 10-8 Castillo (the ref deducted one point from Floyd for use of his elbow)
    Round 11: 10-9 Castillo
    Round 12: 10-9 Castillo

    Total: 116-112 Castillo

I really felt Castillo simply exerted his strength over Mayweather throughout the second half of the fight. Pretty solid on my card.

Watched it a third time and still had it for Castillo, but only by a point this time. Could have been a draw.

Floyd won 1-5, Castillo 6-10 and 12. 11 even. The point deductions even each other out.

I didn't. I saw it back in the day, but just don't recall. I'll check it out this weekend.

Remember watching it looking forward to watching floyds first loss. Tbh scored it for floyd he won the fight. If i remember right...he took pretty much the first five rounds then took a few more inbetween. Castillo was no mug. Great underrated fighter. Think floyd injured his shoulder in the fight as well tbf to him. Still had him winning it as much as i tried to give castillo the win.

Just watched part II now. Official scores were 115-113 (twice) and 116-113 all for Mayweather. I had it 116-114 for Mayweather. He just had a better plan in the rematch, keeping on the outside and pot-shotting as much as he could. He seemed a bit unimaginative when Castillo got in close and banged away, but on the other hand, Castillo was just as unimaginative when he was just chasing after Floyd. If they could have incorporated more of a jab into his arsenal leading up to this fight for a proper plan B, I think he would have done better against Mayweather.

Fair enough.I thought Castillo won by 2 points.Yes, Floyd won rounds 10 and 11 convincingly but I had Castillo winning the 12th.Floyd looked uncomfortable throughout, Castillo was once again the aggressor.

In the middke to late right rounds, commentators were screaming at Floyd's lead right hands when very few of them landed.

    LOL

He was a very good judge

    He's in the IBHOF

He often countered the ridiculously biased scoring of WBA and WBC crony judges in many '80s title fights.

Agree that Lederman is a decent judge. Most of the time I agree with him.Only a few exceptions come to my mind: Foreman-Schultz, Holy-Lewis II, Toney- Jirov.

He has some serious off nights and it's almost always on account of blindly scoring for the aggressor.

Agree. Toney-Jirov might be the worst case of this. How he managed to give Jirov lots of points for running into Toney's punches the whole night is beyond me. On the other hand, he was all on Toney's side in the rematch against McCallum. Didn't pick up on that Mike rode almost all of Toney's big punches so they did little or no damage.

Jermain Taylor-Cory Spinks was a bad one too. Taylor barely one that in reality.
