What an incredible bout, the final battle between these two warriors. Pryor came in with something to prove, because of the black bottle incident, he came in with a fury, knocked Arguello down in the 1st with a vengeance.

Dominated pretty much the entire fight, knocked down Alexis in the 10th, Alexis sits there on the seat of his pants, knowing that he was not going to beat Aaron, does not get up. KO10

They became very good friends afterwards.

    Both are deceased now. Rip.

What guarantee was there that he didn't take several swigs from that same bottle a few moments before entering the ring for that second bout?

In October 1986, Lewis and Resto were both put on trial and found guilty of assault, criminal possession of a weapon (Resto's hands) and conspiracy. Lewis was also found guilty of tampering with a sports contest. Prosecutors charged that since Lewis had deliberately removed the padding from Resto's gloves, the bout with Collins amounted to an illegal assault. Lewis was sentenced to six years in prison, Resto to three years. Lewis was released from prison in 1990.

LOL the judge was obviously a arguello fan since everyone knows that gloves are meant to protect a fighters hands not to protect the other fighters face. kind of like oj getting 60yrs for simple assault. Nevertheless I didnt say panama lewis was a saint. Just sayin if that bottle was mixed it would be a gold mine.

Panama was banned from boxing because he was implicated in mischief that ultimately led to the death of a fighter who had been ruined physically.

He is recorded yelling the following to the orther corner man before the last round of the first Arguello fight.

    BTW
One need not be a saint to refrain from endangering another human's life on purpose. Such an excuse is fitting for small things. Also, the issue isn't whether such a mixture is available or not. The issue is that it is illegal to use it.

Again not disputing any facts. Just saying the formula in that bottle would be a gold mine if it was true. people can imply , theorize, or say bad guy so bad bottle. Im saying that formula would be better than the orginal coca cola that had real cocaine.

Why would a man accused of a crime reveal a formula that could be traced to him? His modus operandi would be denial not disclosure as you are suggesting.

    BTW
He also denied what his own fighter Resto said about the glove wrappings.

coca cola formula is locked in a steel vault in atlanta, no need to reveal a gold mine.
