    No

Not saying he was a crappy fighter

BUT never thought he belonged as P4P#1

In the top 10? Sure. But the HBO push helpes him get P4P #1

I know most of his damage was done a few years back...

But still if he was supposed P4P #1, he should have run through guys like Estrada, Cuadras. Instead he barely beat them

IMO if Estrada had gotten the same push, fought the same guys as Choco & beat them (which he would have) & got the HBO push he woulda been P4P #1

Sounds absurd right? Cause it is

Choco is a gr8 fighter but IMO, just slightly better then Cuadras & Estrada

Estrada was only 20 when they fought and Choco made him drain. Estrada woulda beat him in rematch... Oh well

Choco is a HOF no doubt but IMO shoulda never been p4p #1

Don't you say anything about the Thai World Champion who just showed the world that Chocalito was overrated? Huh?

I logged on this morning to see which dimwit would be the first to start tearing down Gonzalez. Congrats.

You ever thought that might have something to do with Estrada, Cuadras and Sor Rungvisai also being great fighters there genius?

Sor Rungvisai is the unheralded Orlando Salido of Super Flyweight, he racked up a handful of KO and SD losses right after he started boxing, with zero amateur career, he started his career in his early 20's, maybe earlier, the Thai are notoriously bad record keepers, his first KO loss was to Akira Yaegashi, who to date is one of Roman Gonzalez's best friggin wins. After that he has basically one loss in around 40 fights, and that was in a fight that Cuadras took the easy way out in after SSR folded his ass over with body shots, Cuadras had a cut from a headclash and they went to the cards, lucky for Carlos. Roman was too small for SFW, the fight with Cuadras took a physical toll, the match against Sor Rumgvisai took a bigger one, SSR is bigger, stronger, throws as much volume, and is a KO artist, having 40 KO's in 44 wins should tell you something, and he was a bad style matchup for Roman, and he ended him. SSR and SFW were merely a bridge to far for the best little man in the business, its as simple as that. Now give Estrada, Cuadras and Sor Rungvisai the ****ing credit they deserve, instead of running down a great fighter you rat.

I think that Roman should go down to 112.

Lol! Yeah and if the Chocolate one had stayed at one division his entire career, many would say they don't give him credit because of that very thing. RG won belts in 4 divisions and only faultered at his highest weight. Yeah, he was overrated!

Little guys dont age well, he looked slow as hell tonight, and his power never really carried up.

Had a great career, and can still probably be a threat in lower weight classes.

    Over rated my ass.

Roman Gonzalez is the best fighter every from Flyweight and below for me.

The weight class is just obviously a step too far.seems with hindsight the super fight with Inoue would have been a brutal destruction.

This is actually a perfect example.

Roman was good but the hype was ridiculous. Some writers are calling it "the end of an era" or as max said "a closed chapter in the history of boxing". Totally ridiculous.

    Mayweather
    Roy Jones
    ODLH

Are ends of eras. Chocolatito was hbos first chosen hype to try to destroy mayweathers legacy.

I mean in his last 10 fights he got wins over dudes that's 11-14 and 38w-29L. What type of **** is that?

Gonzalez has an excellent resume, and super fly was a weight class to far. One thing that annoys me about fans, don't make p4p lists if you do not have knoledge on all divisions and the level of competitions within them.
