"Sack Up" and fight the elite of 160?

He talks, my god does he talk, but he has only one good win at 160. He's been a pro since 2009, and the win over Lee came in 2015. SIX YEARS after his debut!

    Golovkin
    Jacobs
    Canelo
    Lemieux
    Charlo
    Quillin

BJS has been around for a long time now and his biggest win was two years ago over Lee, who hasn't looked good in years now.

He's fought NONE of the best guys around since. So he's seen some fighters come and go in his 8 year career yet fought only one of them (Lee).

So when will he man up and fight someone worth a toss?

I think Bill will fight a top opponent after Monroe JR

He's had a boost since he's took himself away from distractions and trained with Ingle

He is 28 years old now, and he is clearly one of those fighters who doesnt want to fight the best out there, and would rather earn a good wedge facing second tier opponents whilst not being challenged. At 28 he is in advanced years as a boxer of 10 years, and can no longer say he needs "learning" fights or is "building" a career.

He might face another top tier opponent after Monroe, but he could also easily go back to the second tier level again, especially if its a harder fight than he wants it to be.

I have seen BJS interviewed quite a bit and this assessment is absolutely fair. He would rather be at the second tier level.

Unfortunately there are a lot people like BJS around. Alot. If it wasnt for the fractured governing bodies, then they would be forced to fight the best.

Reckon he's lacking in self belief?

The problem facing second tier opponents is that BJS still holds a strap. So sooner or later he either fights a top dog or vacates.

He will fight Canelo or GGG but only for the payday. That's all he cares about and why his holding the title hostage. He wants that money fight.

I don't believe this is all down to BJS? Charlo & Canelo have only just stepped up to 160 anyway.

Surprised Eubank hasn't been classed as a big win.

If he a rematch with Jr at either MW or SMW he would lose badly.

This. He's got no interest in legacy or fighting the best outside of the mega GGG or Canelo pay day. Shame because he's a real slick boxer. But his attitude is pretty awful.

Training with Ingle was definitely a good move. Hope BJS puts in a good performance on Saturday .

Yes he did an interview about the GGG fight on IFL TV 2 years ago and he clearly did not believe he could beat him. He laughed it off by joking that he would wait unti GGG was 35 before facing him, as he would wait until he was old so would have a chance.

GGG is clearly an extreme example. I think the same lack of belief applies to some of the other top dogs.

For him its about a steady good income, and then cashing out when he feels like he is on the decline and wants a retirement fund.

Let's be honest, Joe Calzaghe did the same thing with his career, albeit he was more active (ie. fought more tomato cans). He spent years fighting second tier and third tier. It was only the last 2 or 3 years of his 15 year career when that changed.

Eubank has had the opportunity to avenge that loss but doesn't seem up for it.

That's right, he does want his cash out fight but he'll give it a damn good go to win also. I think a fit BJS gives Canelo hell but loses a decision. He will have this mega fight then retire.

FW has tried to make this a couple of times but been dicked about. BJS has a belt at middleweight - I doubt we'll see Jnr there again.
