Skill and athleticism vs shocking power

Don't think the size disparity is all that either?

Both can come in at whatever weight they want

    Who wins and how?

I read this as "Saunders" and was wondering why this topic was even made.

Would be fun to see the piece of **** Saunders in the ring with either of these guys

There's only one Sanders that gets talked about round here, and its the South African with nukes in his hands

Weighed in at 225 for the Wladimir fight. Usyk would be about that without cutting

Intriguing fight, still awaiting responses, come on ESB dont let me down

Sanders was an incredible athlete himself... Just wasn't always in the best of shape. Usyk is great and all, but this is a mountain to climb... If he could survive 5-6 rounds however.... He'd probably get the late stoppage or get enough points to secure a draw or win outright.

Usyk actually reminds me in some ways of a younger Corrie Sanders with better defence and less handspeed. Sanders had fast feet and was quite mobile in his prime, and like Usyk controlled the distance quite well so that he could get his own shots off without getting tagged in return.

Usyk however has fantastic skills in the defence department and great upper body movement whereas Corrie was more upright and somewhat stiff looking.

This is a great matchup in that Sanders had some trouble landing on the real slicksters and often ended up going to the body to slow them down in order to catch them cold. On the other hand Sanders has much greater handspeed and power and he could really let the combinations rip. While Usyk is far from featherfisted I don't think he is in the same league and he doesn't really plant his feet in the vein of a Louis to really generate that sort of fight ending power.

I'd like to see more of Usyk before making a definitive call here, but I think the matchup really boils down to the fact that Sanders has 25lb on him and is over 6'4. I think Usyk would see the end if he wanted to and probably have his moments too, but I don't think he had the guns to go toe to toe with a prime version of Sanders.

The older more flat-footed version of Sanders Usyk would have a good chance of outboxing, I reckon.

But the mere fact that we're comparing a cruiser to a full blown, hard hitting heavyweight in order to guage him, tells us how good Usyk is.

I think he's going to have a better career than Sanders had, simply because you can see Usyk really likes fighting, whereas Sanders was the definition of a gentle giant who boxed because he had a family to support and he had to.

Usyk wipes out the old retired Sanders who easily destroyed prime Wlad K in mere seconds.

Both prime is touch and go.

The problem smaller fighters moving up from a lower division to HW would face when they fought someone like Sanders would be his speed and obviously his power which wouldn't be the case against other HWs. Usyk's speed would be one of his greatest assets up at HW but Sanders had blazing hand speed and vicious power and that is always a lethal combination. Both were/are extremely naturally gifted and I love both of them so I'm not even going to spend a single second contemplating how it would've played out. **** you Beouche lol

Usyk is the better overall fighter but Sanders was a good bit larger. Also a massive puncher with very fast hands. I don't think there would be much if any difference in handspeed. I just see Usyk getting stopped by Sanders simply due to the size difference and Sanders' massive power.

Usyk could eat a Sanders for breakfast and have room for a big lunch; I'd be far more interested to see him in with a prime Vasiliy Jirov.

You don't think Sanders would be very dangerous early? I think Usyk would have a really, really rough time for 5 rounds or so. But if go through that it would probably be smooth sailing.
