Linares is about to bust Campbell up. Anybody got a problem with that assessment or is it the unvarnished truth.
Linares is currently a 1/4 betting favourite: the easiest of easy money. I think Campbell's recent wins and his hiring of Jorge Rubio, combined with the heavy Sky Sports / Matchroom hype, are papering over a lot of the cracks concerning him. Has he really improved enough since the Mendy fight to even suggest that he has a shot at being competitive with Linares? If he's getting dropped by Argenis Mendez, you do have to wonder about this. And there's also Campbell's boxing style and weird spider stance, which look like they use up a lot of nervous energy. Linares usually starts fast, so in my opinion, once he settles into his groove early and begins to break Campbell down with his jab and forces Campbell to expend a lot of nervous energy early, the fight will be as good as over. Linares TKO8.
Commended for taking on such tough challenges more or less from the get go We need moire fighters willing to take theses tough paths without screaming asndvbanging on about the money as to be right it needs to marinate blah bnlah fkooking blah Other UK fighters need to look at this and take note Bet he ain't getting what the other Linares victims got
Campbell will take rounds. Kevin Mitchell took Linares to the brink and he has nowhere near the skills or power of Campbell although he probably has a better chin. Hearn should have tried to bring this to the UK though to give Campbell every advantage, would have been perfect on the AJ-Pulev undercard.
