I guess you forgot how great donaire was at 112? Not only that he would have dwarfed him in the ring. Too big too good and hit too hard for choco. He also had a great chin at 112 he would have walked through little choco and knocked him out.
Guy got belts in 4 divisions! That's why he will always rank higher, in my oponion, than G! I always rank fighters higher, who move up or give them more credit than a guy who stayed in one division for an entire career. Ray Leonard>Hagler. RG tested his limits and found them! Much respect to him for going for ATG status. He fell short, but only a damn fool would call him overrated!
I didn't think Choco was better than Cuadras. Cuadras was pounding his face when they fought. Chocolatito was a bit over rated. He was good at the lighter weights where he was fighting primitively skilled guys mostly. Estrada was a bit better, so Estrada gave him a tough fight. There were a couple guys that I would have liked to see Chocolatito fight at the lighter weights. And as far as all the pound for pound stuff, can you imagine what a 112 pound Donaire would have done to Chocolatito. It would have been brutal. The pudgy Nicaraguan should have kept his weight down, and gone no higher than 112. He's lucky that he didn't fight Inoue, he would have gotten seriously hurt.
To be frank, I don't agree with that line of reasoning at all. Lower weight fighters have less pounds to cover as they ascend. And often fighters move up in weight for easier opportunities than harder ones, that's just business.
People keep getting confused over Marciano, which was a "Heavyweight" record, not an overall boxing record.
Yeah, he looked like he had aged 7 years since the last fight. He had a odd look on his face during the breaks, like how do I get outta here.
