But they are not doing constant practice. A boxer goes into a 9 week training camp for example? So for 9 weeks barring the obvious road work, strength and conditioning etc....he is concentrating solely on punching/boxing.

An MBA fighter goes into a 9 week training camp?
Again barring the obvious conditioning, do they solely concentrate on punching/boxing?
Of course they don't. So they don't constantly practice punching/boxing.

Wrong, as I said, we do constantly practice punching! You obviously haven't been trained in the MA and are just guessing about what we do in the training sessions. All martial arts include power punching. Some more than others of course. Tae Kwon Do is one martial art that is power punch oriented. My training in Paui Lum Kung fu included a constant practice of power punching. So you are wrong.

    BTW
I never claimed that MMA concentrates on punching to the same extent that boxers do. I merely claimed that MMA fighters are not ignorant in reference to the mechanics of how to punch with power and do regularly practice in order to be able to effectively utilize it when needed.

Conor's corner were terrible, "calm down , full recovery " when he was getting battered from pillar to post, " move to the side and slip his shots " WTF !

Yup. It's painfully obvious that Mayweather was just biding his time, waiting to drop the hammer after he let it go for a few rounds to make this farce seem more legit.

Yes I have boxed for about 12 years mate in the amateurs. Including exhibitions then I have had over 40 contests.
    We have differences of opinion.
Compared to boxers you don't really constantly practise, it should be obvious.

Actually once trained in an mma gym for a fight a couple of times when they hosted boxing sessions. The guy who ran it was very fit, really sound guy. However compared to most boxing gyms they came across as novices.

He's always been a whiny baby, cries after his favourites get ko'd.

Nothing new here, a whiny girl lashing out again!

I never claimed that the MMA training in boxing is equal in quality to what professional boxers training is. I simply said and keep repeating but to no avail that the technique involved in putting power into a punch is basic knowledge provided in the Martial arts. How do I know? Because I am trained in the Martial arts and that's one of the first things we learn ad practice in every subsequent training session. Muy Thai kickboxing techniques which involve punching and Tai Quando which involves extensive punching are part of the Martial Arts and are included in all other varieties of the Martial arts. Especially since Bruce Lee wrote his book the Tao of Jeet Kune Do which recommended its importance.

    BTW
You would have us believe that Bruce Lee didn't know how to properly put power into a punch and that Connors was throwing arm punches because he didn't know any better.

Sorry but I have to consider that as absolute nonsense.

That body shot observation reminds me of what Sylvester Stalone asked that actor who played Drago, Dolph Lundgren to do:

"Hit me as hard as you can in the gut! Go ahead!"

Stallone wound up in the emergency room!

At least Floyd wasn't stupid enough to make that kind of request.

Lundgren is a borderline giant. Stallone must have had the double espresso that morning to make him so brave :D

I have never once mentioned Bruce Lee.

Connor showed against an old Floyd Mayweather that he is in fact less than average.

This debate is going nowhere, so we should leave it at that.

About Connor, to me that seemed the impression that he was striving to convey.

I think that sometimes actors get too caught up in the fictional character they are portraying.
