    Can forgive Kovalev for taking a soft one after back to back losses against Ward. He needs to rebuild his confidence, and Barrera is a risky fight. Good to hear he's not retiring.

    I think it is more likely that the promoters didn't want that fight. If Kovalev wins it kills the momentum Barrera has, if Barrera wins it buries Kov further.

    Kovalev needs to adjust to whoever the new trainer will be.. Also needs to comeback from psychological warfare since his two loses.. Its prizefighting.. its business.. Would not be wise for a promoter to throw him in there against anyone who would represent a high risk low reward kind of deal.. Its a no win for both fighters for now.. that fight needs to build a little bit more...
