Promoters Don King and Andrzej Wasilewski said Golota would beat both Klitschko brothers. It's interesting that you also mentioned AJ. This is a perfect segue to Andrzej Wasilewski's quote, here's what Wasilewski had to say: "I watched most of their (Klitschkos') fights. A Golota who was well-managed during his career would have knocked out the Klitschkos and Joshua. A good team of promoters, tremendous sparring sessions, and a sports psychologist; that would have been enough – Wasilewski said.
I wouldn't believe **** all what King said, and I don't know the other fella lol... It is only opinions, but mine is entirely different to theirs. Golota could never put it all together when it counted imo
In that case I want to add an iron chin to Wlad ... and another two inches reach and blazing handspeed to Vitali.
No, I was referring to only the stares because I was replying to a poster who commented that Golota would have a panic attack while instructions were given by the ref. Of course, staredowns mean little to nothing. The most important factor is what happens inside that ring. But what fans need to realize is that anybody who faces Golota better be ready for a dogfight because just as he proved against the likes of Po'uha, Nicholson, Bowe, and Mollo, he (Golota) doesn't play around in the doghouse. Whenever the Pole steps between the ropes, that ring becomes his doghouse, and therefore his turf, and whoever his opponent is best be ready.
After the Vitali Klitschko-Corrie Sanders fight in Los Angeles (late April 2004) Don King said that while watching that bout he wished he could have just put Golota in one ring with both Vitali and Wladimir as Andrew was good enough to beat both. But I understand what you are saying. Golota definitely should have become the first Polish heavyweight champion of the world. It's too bad because today he would have been able to call himself "the first and only Pole to hold a version of the heavyweight title". Instead, he joined Frans Botha and Jameel McCline as a four-time title challenger (a list which Fres Oquendo will probably join soon).
It obviously bothers certain people that Golota was never anywhere near the level of Wladimir OR Vitali but the troof hurts Andrew would have been beaten the **** up against Vitali. Wladimir would have knocked him out for a longer count than Lewis did.
check through the comments. someone broke out the alts that had been collecting dust since before they added likes.
bowe never beat anyone of substance, outside of holyfield. if you look at holyfields record, he was .500 or worse against every top flight hw he fought. klitschko by murder, be it against golota, bowe, or holyfield.
