If you don't think the final punch that ended the fight was a low blow, you need to find a new sport to watch.

The outcome was a foregone conclusion at that point. The last blow was low, but Kovalev was keeling forward prior to the shot which isn't gonna help the ref give you a favorable split second call.

Tell everyone what Kovalev thought of that punch. "BORDERLINE"

Kovalev was bending at the waist in agony earlier in the bout from single left hooks to the body. The fight and that video I posted is quite clear if you know the sport. You don't.

All that may be true. But nonetheless, the final blow--the one that directly and immediately caused the ref to call the fight--was clearly a low blow. Whether Kovalev was going to lose or not, the ref should not have called off the fight at that moment, because of a foul. He blew the call.

There is nothing borderline about that punch. It was an illegal low blow. I didn't think this was possible, but you are actually denser than I'd thought!

Fouls happen is every fight and are the product of the greatest of fighters... You return in kind until the ref asserts his authority.

That said, there is no way in hell Kova lost that first fight. Pure home cooking.

Did you watch the video? Kovalev was hit by the punch and he stated that punch was BORDERLINE.

Assuming you people know where your balls are none of those punches came anywhere near them.

I don't think he'd beat any of them.

This is unreal. Kovalev clearly felt that it was a low blow. Far more importantly though, it is crystal clear in the video. You can disagree about the actual impact or significance of the low blow but there is absolutely no question that the punch was low. Maybe you don't understand what a low blow is?

I had the first one for Ward. I think 1 in 3 ringside media had it for him. I think our resident historian, Perry, scored it for Ward too.

That video is ****ing shameless. He really didn't say that, he was confused by Kellerman and repeating to the translator, then they cut it. After that video cuts, he gives his actual answer, "It was low blow." And he's been pretty adamant about that.

His English isn't the best and he's upset. There is an obvious language barrier as he has to wait for the translator to transcribe what Max is saying, who is being a sly **** with leading questions.

Kov: I did not get knocked down by any punches, an illegal!
Max: You are saying you were never hurt to the body until the final round?
Kov: Yeah. Only the low blow. Only the low blow!
Max: This is the end, tell us what you see.
Kov: Low blow! And I felt it this time.
    Kov: Again! Another one!
Max: (cuts him off and asks about the right hand 30 seconds before, if he felt Ward's power)
Kov: I didn't hurt like that, I didn't go down, it was a low blow! It was a low one.
Max: It was below the belt! But looked borderline to me. Was it all the way low, or a borderline low?
Kov: (stutters and tries to follow Max's hand gestures) Uh uh... low (gets confused and looks to the translator) speaks Russian briefly.
    Translator: On the border.
Kov: On the border. (looks back to Max) And then on the second it was a low blow, ya know. (Max interrupts and cuts him off) Kov continues: Why stop the fight?

Perry is a f*cking idiot who can barely recite anything that hadn't previously escaped Burt Sugar's departed @sshole.

    AP had is 116-111 Kovalev
    ESPN 115-112 Kovalev
    Las Vegas Review-Journal 116-112 Kovalev
    The Guardian 115-112 Kovalev

A total shill like the NY Post gave Ward the victory by a point because they have historically been homers.

He knocked him down cleanly, he won more rounds, Andre made an adjustment and everyone on his side applauded but Kova didn't need to make an adjustment because his Plan A was good enough... it's simple math.

You got to love Kovalev vs Ward II. People telling you that a low blow on camera is not a low blow. And a guy saying over and over again, it was a low blow, is not him really saying it was a low blow. Priceless.
