    Many are reporting that this fight is official however according to reports Wilder's team aren't happy with the date Nov 4th. Team Ortiz have spoke out on IG saying they are still waiting for Wilder to sign the contract.

    Deontay Wilder will reportedly return to the ring to defend his WBC heavyweight title against Luis Ortiz on Nov. 4 at the Barclays Center in New York, but that is now in question, sources tell FightNights.com.

    Although Wilder promoter Lou DiBella, of DiBella Entertainment, has Nov. 4 booked at the Barclays Center, the fight is still not official.

    Wilder’s team is reportedly unsatisfied with the date because that is the same day Alabama plays LSU in college football. They fear that more people would rather tune into the football game than boxing. Additionally, the bout would be battling for viewers with UFC 217 taking place right down the street at Madison Square Garden.

    Our sources say both sides are still talking, but it appears the bout will take place in the spring of 2018 at the earliest.

    Apparently both team Wilder and Ortiz have confirmed this article isn't true and fight is still on for Nov 4th.. Just wait for official word as this is becoming a joke.

    Yep, this story was quashed by an admin in boxing scene.

    Wilder/Ortiz is still on.

    Wilder is a complete fraud if this fight falls through, even his most ardent nut swingers would have to admit it.

    Edit- Fight is still apparently on.

    Yea that was my thread on BS lol.. Both camps reached out and said this article isn't true apparently. Ortiz is still on IG saying Wilder hasn't signed so I'm just gonna wait for official news before believing anything.
