Golota had talent, it's indisputable. He just couldn't keep it together mentally imho and he did get some bad decisions eg Ruiz which I personally think he won by a stretch.

Mental prime Golota out boxes Vitali easily and make him look silly. Its only a matter of him holding it together till the final bell , but a facial damage stoppage is a real possibility. His boxing skills were a tier above Vitali's who fought like a converted kickboxing striker because thats exactly what he was. Vitali was crude and his technique was abysmal. He didn't know the first thing about defense which is why the worst version of Lewis murked him savagely in just 6 round. Golota had the better jab -thrown higher , faster and straighter . It would slice Vitali paper skin clean off his face. He had the better defense and was the better counter puncher. He fought well on the inside. Vitali can't fight a lick on the inside and wouldn't land a glove on Golota as he slipped and parried his way in close. Golota was better in too many area's. Vitali excelled in mental strength but he doesn't apply the pressure needed to break Golota's will. 2003 Lewis was inferior to the Golota who took Bowe to the brink in 1996. Vitali never wanted to face another big man again after the Lewis shellacking. If i remember correctly Vitali avoided Jamel MaCline. His style was successful only against small come forward bums with no defense.
