Per Eddie Hearn re the Buglioni offer. Buglioni declined - he's focused on the British title.

Terms were agreed with Callum Johnson but HBO wouldn't accept Johnson as an opponent for Ward.

Also, Kovalev tried to get Buglioni for his comeback fight - also declined by Frank.

"I don't know. I just think at this point it is tough when you go beat the guy in the division. It is tough. I got a great team, Josh Dubin, James Prince, Roc Nation. I have kind of gotten away and shut the boxing world out and they are going to present a couple options in the next week or so. So I am going to see what they got but we gotta go big or go home. That is my mentality," said Ward.

    Frank Buglioni :risas3:

Agreed, but Ward clearly wants an easy stay-busy fight while he decides what to do next.

I get the feeling that Ward is just after the money right now, unless there was a chance to win an easy cruiser title vs someone like Bellew.

Otherwise, he's hoping Golovkin beats Canelo and then he could fight Golovkin either at LHW or at a catchweight like 172 lb. That is the biggest fight for Ward and is also less risky than Beterbiev/Gvozdyk or any of the top cruisers or Joshua , also I could see Golovkin taking it as he's more or less at the same stage career-wise as Ward and is trying to maximize $$$$.

I don't think 172 would be fare on GGG.

he could try and drag some of Wilder's opponents out of the river, or whatever construction site he found them at. probably has every heavyweight that can't fight on speed dial.

Ref: 'No headbutting, clinching or punching below the belt. I want a good, clean fight.'
Ward: 'You know he can hear you, right?'
