Froch is backing Canelo to walk away with middleweight belts.
So this is a guy who after knocking out Groves said that he wouldn't want to fight GGG.
And now after retirement turn around and say that he is too big and will beat him easy.
Clearly getting punch too much in the nose affect his thinking.

Froch pulled a classic passive aggressive BS move when he kept using sarcasm to deflect any questions about Golovkin.

He would of also fought Froch if Carl was game. He wasn't. He was too big, too strong and too retired.

Also FWIW I would have loved to see that fight as it would of told us exactly how good or overhyped Golovkin was/is.

We got a glimpse of that when GGG fought Jacobs. Although I think Froch presents a different challenge. Jacob has height speed and power. Froch on the other hand has size, strength and durability. It will be a tough fight.

Well when we seen Golovkin finally "step up" when he fought Jacobs, he looked very beatable. Carl should have took that fight like Sugar88 mentioned but he was caught up in the hype back then too. After Jacob's everyone wanted a shot at Golovkin, before Jacobs it was just Ward.
Canelo has faced better guys and he knows his struggles in the ring and what he has to improve on BUT, his last 5 fights have not prepared him for someone as big and as fundamentally skilled as Golovkin. He would have to fight Mayweather 3 more times to substitute all the time he has wasted fighting low tier, high named guys at 154 and welterweights for the past 2 1/2 years.

Cant a person have an opinion?

He's not the only pro who feels that way.

He surely can although he kind of contradicts himself.
First he back canelo to win and then says he will be too big for GGG.
Second he said about who has GGG beat and if you look at his own record who has Froch beat? Split 1-1 with Kessler and a loss to ward.
And I think you know who canelo has beaten. The same opponents are no match to GGG. I gave Lara no shot whatsoever if he ever get to fight golovkin.

Watching GGG-Jacobs it's hard to envisage him beating Froch. Froch would have run Danny over.

Carl wanted it at 172 on an ifl vid with Tom Loeffer...Instantly told me Froch wasn't honestly interested.

Carl bought into the hype and Golovkin wasn't enough of a money spinner to tempt him to take the risk.
