Every fighter is different. Canelo didnt have an extensive amateur career. He was in the amateur program for a year or two. Hes a young still. We just saw him enter his prime less two years ago. He is not battle worn either as he has very good defense.
I just dont see any signs of Canelo getting a bit worn around the edges yet. Though with all this weight gain and bulking trying to be a big strong monster at 160 may produce similar results.
He didn't look great against Cotto and I thought he was going to blow Miguel out of there in at least as dominant fashion as Pacquaio did.
Dumbest Thread Ever. When he fought Joppy Duran was in his late 40s and was in his 29th year as a pro
The more I think of this fight it might even trun out like Margo vs Mosley, Margarito was a "monster " coming into that fight, Nobody expected for Mosley to dominate Margarito that easliy, But the thing was Mosley beat him to the punch with his faster hands and better defense, Of course GG will do a bit better especially in the first rounds but Canelo will beat him to the punch all night long
Hes a young fighter and in his prime. No ones pretending anything, its not relevant in the slightest here !
I think this will be like Hagler-Hearns and if you've ever seen a ginger haired Mexican after a leg massage you'll know exactly what I mean. Although, to be fair, Hagler hid the fact that he was ginger quite successfully. No one can doubt his Mexicanicity though. What I'm talking about is a Cinnamon on quear street, massaged legs. A completely broken hand job. But the Duran Joppy analogy will suffice.
Thats cause it was Margarito in there... Margarito isnt even a quarter of what GGG is.. Dont get me wrong I get what youre saying in regards to the fight but I really dont think thats how its gonna go.. Trust me.. Whoever takes this will need to bleed good for it... 50/50 fight for sure.. Were in for a real treat here
Most people beat GGG to the punch but they cant back him up long enough to get on the front foot and even they do land big his chins good... Will Alvarez be able to do that? i'm not sure he will he isn't a huge puncher. Footwork will be the key to this fight can Alvarez who's a bit slow and leaden create angle and movement to give him opportunities to counter and keep him away from GGG's power. If He can't GGG will spend the night chopping wood
LMFAO... you have got to be kidding me. Dude is 27 years old right now. I've heard some stupid things on this board before so am I surprised? Not really.
that is a pretty big number, but he coming in at 190 and putting god knows what in his protein shake and gov being 35 should make for a competitive fight, at least for 5 rounds.
