As per the IBF rules, they both have to make 170 tomorrow morning right?

Canelo peaked way too early or training too hard.

Golovkin stays around 165lb for most of camp until the last few days or so and takes the weight off by fasting or whatever he does. He stresses his body much less than Canelo does.

He was 164 a week out, no issues with being drained.

Oh, I hadn't heard about that.

So the IBF has no rehydration clause at all anymore?

Only for title fights with more than one belt on the line. I don't think the IBF liked the stunt Jacobs pulled; it leaves the IBF titelist at a severe disadvantage.

It's only a disadvantage if the titilist has to cut to make 170 but GGG apparently didn't so it's no different to any other non ibf title fight if that's the case? Of course thats BS and GGG was still severely dehydrated at the 170 morning weigh in so Jacobs did indeed have a huge advantage

Golovkin fights at 172-175 on fight night. Jacobs was about 185. Some guys say 190 but I don't believe that.

Ah. That seems like a reasonable move.

    Thanks for the info.
