I see Canelo Alvarez knocking GGG out like Marvelous Marvin did to T.Hearns

I'm hoping, but I doubt it will be a classic, I think it'll be either very tactical jab and counter fest with a late stoppage win for GGG or a 2 or 3 round beat down from GGG.

That's what Hearns expected to happen if Hagler tried to slug. Boxing is full of surprises that very often shock the experts. For example-who expected Marciano to KO Walcott in the first round of the second fight? Who expected Archie to floor Marciano? Who expected Galento to floor Joe Louis? Or Shmelling to KO him? Odds on all these were probably 200 to 1 yet they happened. So we can talk about probabilities but certainties are the stuff of wishful thinking and nothing more.

Good for Hearns, this isn't Hearns we're talking about here, or Hagler, so the point is moot.

The point isn't that they are exact replicas of one another. The point is whether the total certainty you express is logically justifiable or not when we consider just how unpredictable boxing matches can turn out to be.

The truth is that such confident assertions are merely personal opinions based on personal preferences. Unfortunately personal preferences cannot guarantee future reality.

My point is if Canelo tries to aggressively walk down and KO GGG an incredibly heavy handed and talented counter puncher, he's getting KTFO, as in out cold, the outcome is actually fairly predictable.

That's what people thought about little Archie Moore vs Marciano and Archie stood toe to toe for most of the fight and even managed to floor Marcianio. That's what they thought about Douglas vs Tyson. No one was supposed to be able to walk Hearns down. Both Haggler and Ray proved that wrong. We can speak of likelihoods. But certainties? Unfortunately that is a privilege reserved for the Creator..

    GGG W TKO 8.

That being said, I don't see how Canelo can't be compared to Hearns in any way, shape, or form. Completely different fighters.

I honestly don't care enough about this to argue with you, GGG would KO Canelo with a brutal overhand counter if he throws caution to the wind and bumrushes him. It is what it is, and Canelo realizes that too, and that's exactly why he'll fight the most cautious fight of his life and take zero risks.

I never claimed that Canelo would even remotely consider mindlessly and carelessly bumrushing Gennady.

    BTW
I don't care enough about this to get into extended arguments either.
I simply assumed that a counter view would not be a big issue.
