I read compubox had GGG landing more punches in 10 of 12 rounds. GGG was the aggressor the majority of the rounds and landed more punches. The 10-2 judge needs fired.

3 years ago GGG KOs canelo.

Nelo landed at a slightly higher connect percentage, GGG threw almost 200 more punches and landed 49 more shots.

Winners of fights almost always land more and throw more. Just a little tidbit to chew on.

I know i just hate it he was robbed. That 0 on floyds record made him 600+ million. People bought his fights to see him lose. If he had an L on his record he'd never have made as much money as he did.

If you want to believe compubox that's fine, so let's go with that. GGG landed an average of 4 more punches per round more than Canelo but it was obvious that Canelo was landing the more telling shots. Not really a convincing argument that GGG dominated the fight.

We all agree that Byrd's cards were awful but the other two were reasonable and point to the fight being close.

The party I was at was almost evenly divided in the outcome, with a slight advantage probably towards GGG.

It's no coincidence who are doing all the whining are the same ones who predicted GGG would blow Canelo out of the water.

I hate how people pick and choose when they want to believe compubox. lol.
As far as landing the more telling shots? FLoyd tapped his way to decisions the last 10 years of his career.

Canelo landed more power shots. 7 rounds to 5. Overall he was out thrown, out landed and wasn't the aggressor.

I actually was leaning towards Nelo winning a decision. I thought that if the fight went 12, there was little doubt that Canelo's skill set would allow him to pull out the victory. However, I felt that if the fight ended inside the distance, It would most likely be Golovkin walking out with his hand raised.

Alvarez landed the more noteworthy punches because he's faster and more flashy. Not to be confused with the more effective punches. If that were true, Nelo would have been the one who controlled the tempo, distance and pace of the the fight. It was GGG who was the ring general tonight and the one who was walking Alvarez down while laying more leather on him than the other way around.

I'm not saying GGG completely dominated the fight....Nelo gave a good account of himself in there. He made it competitive, not particularly close....but definitely competitive.

Bryd's score card was criminal....I don't think anyone argues that. But most everyone agrees the draw was a favorable decision for the more popular boxer with the support of the promotion dictating who the judges would be. I wouldn't call it a robbery although it was extremely close in resembling one.

Lets see the punch stats for body punches. HBO indicated G had a big goose egg in terms of body punches for some time. Round after round to no surprise Canelo was the only one landing body punches.

The 118-110 card was utter BS and what I was expecting from the judges.

The other two cards were much more realistic.

This was a close fight; I thought Golovkin won but by 1-2 rounds only. Canelo was much better than I expected, especially late where he was fading, he showed guts to come back strong.

I'm OK with the draw, it means we will probably have round 2. :)

That was a good fight. Top level boxing by both men. :deal:
