I think that in rematch GGG will win more decisively and probably by knockout.
I don't agree that GGG doesn't have room to improve, I think that during that match it was GGG who had gained more rather than Canelo and it was GGG who basically read everything that Canelo has to offer.

I don't see a lot of room for Canelo to improve, changing tactics will lead to GGG hitting him way more and basically will lead to GGG knocking Canelo out.

Canelo's shots can't hurt GGG. GGG worked really good on defense, if you watch replay he blocked a lot of Canelo's shots, and he worked on his defence against body shots.

What are your ideas on that?

Overall GGG landed more and will land even more in second one. For Canelo it worked for the first time, won't work second time. GGG adapts quite good. Just my opinion.

Canelo was winning rounds on defense alone.

GG had his best chance to beat Canelo tonight and he couldn't do it.

The combos were lighting GG up

It's only going to get worse for GG

I thought Golovkin adapted well. But he put himself in a bit of a hole early, perception wise, if nothing else. Not that I think GGG didn't deserve to win - he clearly did from what I saw. But this type of fight was always going to leave this possibility open.

Canelo made G miss so many times. Canelo was so relaxed in there, rolling with punches and coming back with bombs. Canelo's a natural. Triple G looked stiff and ordinary in comparison, but G was determined, and stalked Canelo. Classic quality (Canelo) vs quantity (Gennady) debate. Good fight, can't wait till the rematch. Are we gonna have to wait 8 months till next May? Why don't they fight in December. Take my $$ Oscar.

i think it could go either way. ggg is slowly deteriorating and canelo is settling in to 160 and could possibly improve his stamina. on the other hand, ggg now knows canelo doesnt have the power to end it so he may bring a more violent approach.

GGG wasn't feeling Canelo's shots. If Canelo will attack more, that will give more chances for GGG.
Just wondering what Canelo can offer and where can he improve that will give Canelo an edge in rematch?

If GGG can't get a decision after winning that many rounds then what more can he do in a rematch other then KO the guy, he'll be another year older by the time the next fight happens, canelo is going to drag it out and delay the rematch

rematch would help canelo more in my opinion. I think GGg won the fight this time though. but ya canelo younger, improving and quicker I think the 2nd fight would help him most. GGG should go to England and fight saunders unify the division. then give canelo or Jacobs or both a 2nd match. then retire.

When Canelo threw his combos GG didn't know what to do.

A balls to the wall GGG stops Canelo in the sequel. He was timid early tonight and it cost him.

All Canelo needed was 2 things and he would have won easily. First was to jab more and second have better stamina. Dude is 27, at his physicsl peak! His stsmina should last more than 6 rounds. He gets his stsmina right and utilizes his jab more he wins the rematch!
